Fear and how it cripples progress!

I can't help but mention that there are sure a lot of fear-driven posts here as of late:

Please understand fear is only as impressionable as we allow it to be. Since 9/11 this nation has been crippled by fear. Can we really continue to live this way? At what point do we quit medicating our vice of fear with added and negligent veils of security and wake up to the reality that we make and tend our own illness. Let the cancer go and let love shine! Even if the world were to end tomorrow, is there any guarantee you will live long enough to meet it?

Peace and Love always.

Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate... leads to suffering.

Thank you for posting

I always tell my kids if they don't learn to control themselves someone else will and the easiest way is through fear.

I have always enjoyed your perspective on things. I think you really hit the nail on the head with this post.

In America today, it seems like all we get is fear. Fear of terrorists, fear of school shootings, fear of people kidnapping and hurting our children. And, it only serves to keep us in a state of obedience to our rulers.

We must stay obedient to them to survive. We must not think for ourselves.

I find a similar atmosphere of fear among this movement, as you've noted. 'The economy will collapse tomorrow', or 'martial law is about to happen', or 'the illuminati have manchurian candidates in place to secretly rule the world from behind the scenes'.

All of these may be true, but to be ruled by fear often leads us to make wrong decisions. We must be clear-headed or we will be too easily swayed by those just looking to make a quick buck, or to corrupt our values. We must prepare with an eye to the future, but not miss out on the joy that is TODAY.

The fearful mind is enslaved. The free mind has peace.
