The Best Thing the Government Ever Shoved Down America's ThroatSubmitted by Chris Concomitantski on Sun, 08/03/2014 - 01:15
As of February 17, 2009 America's regular old TVs didn't work anymore, and that's fine with me. My new digital TV is way more better:
-the converter box only cost about 50 bucks.
-I didn't have to pay the 50 bucks because I'm poor so the government paid for it.
-The optional antenna for extra money works much of the time allowing you to watch TV in digital.
-The new digital standard was approved by Bush and enforced by Obama, making it a true bipartisan throating.
-You only need 6 cords to make the thing work unless you own a vcr, in which case you will need an additional power cord for the vcr.
-The constant glitches and zaps are a fun addition to my regular neural spasms.
I did't have to upgrade my system again until 2013.
Digital TV is awesome. It's one of the best things the government ever made me do.
