Airport staff tonight told of their fears of an Ebola outbreak after a passenger from Sierra Leone collapsed and died as she got off a plane at Gatwick.

Workers said they were terrified the virus could spread globally through the busy international hub from the West African country which is in the grip of the deadly epidemic.

The woman, said to be 72, became ill on the gangway after she left a Gambia Bird jet with 128 passengers on board. She died in hospital on Saturday.

This is the reason to be ready and follow this closely

Sierra Leone declared a state of emergency and called in troops to quarantine victims.

Call in troops. Military quarantine. Say it slow.

Now imagine it's your neighborhood.

If your family is caught in one of those military quarantines, you are beyond phucked. (To borrow Emalvini's technical term, see below)

Just have a simple plan, and be ready. That's it.

Is Ebola Scarier than An Alien Invasion?

Honestly, if the victim's death was due to Ebola, officials in England wouldn't initially spill the beans anyway. Look for a flurry of activity behind the scenes. Officials will likely only tell the truth when all other measures fail. At that point, it might be a bit too late.

Although governments plan for contingencies, those plans are full of holes. Proceed accordingly. Don't panic, but prepare now to boost your immunity.

Here's the thing, don't panic, don't fearmonger, just be ready

That's it, come up with a little plan, a checklist, and be ready.

It's hard to ignore statements like these from the article:

Last week, the Ebola crisis was described as out of control by World Health Organisation chief Margaret Chan and could be “catastrophic”.

Sierra Leone declared a state of emergency and called in troops to quarantine victims. Liberia also imposed controls.

Ms Chan revealed 60 doctors, nurses and health care workers had now lost their lives trying to save others.

I've also read that Dr. Black, a volunteer physician with Doctors Without Borders has also described the outbreak as 'out of control'.

The authorities have also lost track of many of the people who were contacted by victims who had traveled by plane.

It'll stay below radar... I'll be updating there w/o the hype.

Don't worry, it is just Drudge fear propaganda

The reason why is spread is because of some weird funeral rituals in which the touch the body of the dead. The old testament said that is not a good idea to touch a dead person. Even the old testament encourages not to touch dead bodies....

True. We should pay less attention

to what Drudge posts and more attention to what he does NOT post. That's what makes the Daily Paul so awesome.

thanks for that

You should make that post and it should be front-paged. The Daily Paul should be a dose of sanity against the fear-mongering MSM (which includes Drudge).

Good idea:

The article was updated to say

that on Sunday the Ebola test results for the women proved negative.

Still scary though, it only takes one case like that in an urban area to ignite the gun powder trail.

Also it is not known yet if she could have been afflicted with some other disease not yet identified.

Would they give...

The truth in that article?
I trust NOTHING from government sources.

Regardless, there are confirmed cases

in the Philippines, Morocco and Brazil now.
