A Heartfelt Plea from Adrian Wyllie, Libertarian Candidate for Governor, Florida

A Heartfelt Plea from Adrian Wyllie, Libertarian Candidate for Governor, Florida sent this out today. If you are serious about restoring Liberty (and an alternative currency), please help!

It's not easy for me to ask you for money. It's one of the things I like least about campaigning. I know times are tough and many of us are struggling. If I didn't think I had a legitimate shot at winning the race, I wouldn't be sending this letter. But I do. It is now August 4th and we are coming down to the wire. We need to raise $110,000 by September 1st or risk exclusion from the debates.

History has proven that the establishment will do everything in its power to keep our voice from being heard. They want to prevent you, the people, from interfering with the corruption and abuse in Tallahassee. But put a stop to it we must. The politicians have too much to lose. We need to hold their feet to the fire. We need to stand up for what is right.

They are determined to keep me out of the debates because I've already proven that people will vote for me...even without widespread name recognition. Can you imagine how our chances will increase once voters see that our solutions and ideas rise above the petty bickering of Scott and Crist in the debate? We can't let this opportunity go to waste, folks. I will defeat my opponents because the message of liberty will not go unheard.

It is evident, based on the recent poll, that Floridians are growing tired of Rick Scott and Charlie Crist. They are no longer trusted as leaders. I desperately want to fight for your rights and freedoms. I will continue to do so, regardless of how much money we raise because it is my obligation to do so.

One of the campaign's most important goals is that we raise $110,000 in the next month. The maximum contribution is $3,000 per person. In order to meet one of the likely criteria to get into the debates, we will need:

▪ 37 supporters to contribute $3,000 or
▪ 73 people to donate $1,500 or
▪ 150 donations at $733 or
▪ 300 people to contribute $366 OR the best option in the list...
▪ 440 in-state supporters to donate just $250 each

If we reach our goal of raising an additional $110,000, we will meet the criteria to receive state matching funds. To the media, this is a big milestone. To me, it's an opportunity to stand on principle.

I promise to reject the state funding publicly. I am fundamentally opposed to the use of taxpayer money for campaign financing. State matching funds are nothing more than "candidate welfare" and should be abolished.

Right now, all of us are being forced to fund candidates which we despise via this program. If we participate in it, we are no better than they. We will have taken a small step toward becoming what we despise. Though the additional money would mean a lot to our grassroots campaign, it is not worth compromising our core beliefs. We must always remain true to our principles, even when it is not in our short-term best interest to do so.

The time has come. The time is now. We have just 57 days until the absentee ballots are mailed out and less time than that to meet the debate criteria. Donate what you can to help propel the campaign into victory. We need to secure the funds a month before the first debate in order to let our voice... your voice... be heard. By contributing today, we will all be that much closer to restoring prosperity and freedom to the great state of Florida.

bump for the cause of liberty. Hope everyone can donate at least the price of a good brew or lunch for the day. If you have more, it is greatly appreciated. BITCOIN ACCEPTED! How many campaigns can say that?

I like his ad on the right side of this page.

Everyone looks good standing by Ron Paul.

Any chance we can get an updated ticker?

Updated Wyllie Ticker Here

Thanks. :)

[It would be helpful if people voted it up and kept it bumped. ;)]

Thanks, USA

Bump for Wyllie

We Floridians need a real alternative to the Scott/Crist ticket. (With Scott and Crist we just have a Demmican and a Republocrat, two sides of the same damn statist fiat coin)

Way to go Adrian

This is a great campaign and it keeps getting better.

Alexander Snitker

I met with Adrian and Stacey tonight

and I love them both. I'm doing my high pressure thing to take over as healthcare policy director for the campaign.

My question to these two is: Can anybody else around here even spell the word deductible?

I meet them tomorrow again in Crystal River up north.

Rick Scott and Charlie Crist will spend $100 million on this race.

A fool and his money.

On the Capitol steps

Recently had the good fortune to actually meet with Adrian Wyllie on the steps of the Capitol in Tallahassee. Found him to have the qualities of a statesman. He stands strong for what he believes. This man cannot be bought by special interests.
Please, we need to back this man as we did Dr Paul.
Anything will help.

Did you see his We The People tattoo?

Wyllie is not for sale and just like with Dr Paul, lobbyists will walk right past the office. In fact, Wyllie vows that his very first action in office will be to install cameras so that anytime he is meeting with a lobbyist, the meeting can be viewed by citizens who will hold him accountable. It is my understanding that he already turned down a very large donation because it came with strings attached.

Please everyone, dig deep and let's get this man to his goal!! He is the 2014 Florida version of Ron Paul and it would speak volumes about our movement to get him into office.

Mitt Romney Loves Blue Cross Like Fraud King Rick Scott

Mitt Romney and Blue Cross of MA Foundation came up with RomneyCare. MIT's Socialist John Gruber helped Romney and Obama in the drive for Socialized Medicine.

Blue Cross schooled Romney on MANDATES. "Such a mandate had been recommended by Urban Institute researchers in the Roadmap to Coverage reports of 2004 and 2005, produced in partnership with the Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation."

How much does Blue Cross cost in Massachusetts now after Romney? The city of East Longmeadow, MA, is paying Blue Cross $3,828/month per employee with family coverage. Lucky they make the employee pay 1/2.

$3,828 per month - Remember - the Blues are "non-profit" or non-taxed

It's time for a new Governor

Great, One more reason

not to vote for Scott. One more reason to pray for prosperity, as well.

This man (Wyllie) needs to win the Governorship in Florida! Every Independent and Libertarian around the Country needs to get behind this man because, if he wins, it could snowball to DC for the race to be the next President. If you listen to everything he says during speeches, interviews, etc... he states his case simply, directly and honesty. You know where he stands on everything
That is what we need in Florida!

Rocks! Although it's been a few years since I lived in Florida, doing what I can to help him from way out west!:)

Jeb Bush Endorses Medicare Fraud Master Rick Scott

It doesn't bother Jeb Bush that Rick Scott's company was stealing mountains of money from Medicare and Medicaid.

Of course Blue Cross was a major donor to Jeb Bush too.

To be the biggest crook in Medicare takes leadership.

Jeb Bush said, "Rick Scott demonstrated leadership."

Jimmy Buffett Should Write A Song: Florida Blues

Florida Blues (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida Inc) is the largest contributor to Rick Scott's campaign! Rick Scott was the CEO of a company BUSTED for Medicare Fraud (MF). Scott didn't go to jail but his company paid $1.7 billion Medicare Fraud Fine (MFF). Florida Blue is a Medicare administrator for the SE US.

So, we have a (non profit) government contractor buying the Florida election. The Blues are raising rates 17.6% (Billions) and the State of Florida has given up their right to regulate health insurance increases because we feel we don't need no stinking regulators for the consumers.

What do you think the Daily Paul could fight the Blues?

Like Frank Zappa says, "You either sing the Blues or you sing with a high voice."

Maybe that is why....

-he is polling so well, dems and repubs apathetic
-he is using super brochures like RP

seems to me bc/bs being a medicare administrator is a conflict of interest - i think the west u.s. has an insurance co. as admin?

hey! if DP readers and RPers can't do it, who can?

if we have a big chance to make FL, U.S., and world better if we raise $85k (or approx $1 per 'daily' DP viewer) then I am game for that.

I read someplace that 'Real ID' is such a detailed inter/national database of personal private info and biometric imaging for 'droning' Americans that supporting Wyllie to fight that is one of the best things we can do.

Plus, he supports so many other things DP/RP-ers support, including THE U.S. CONSTITUTION. We need a good role model somewhere!

If 10+ people say they want a money bomb, I'd happily host for 1-3 days. We got Justin Amash $102k! All we need is $85k more for Adrian Wyllie. A small price to pay to perhaps start a 'snowball' of good?

Otherwise, people can continue to contribute here:

Wyllie is a fighter-everyone needs to help

Yes it does, thank you very much! If everyone on this site donated the price of a cup of coffee, or lunch, it would help tremendously. Wyllie winning the race would set the bar high for the rest of the country! Or heck, Florida could become the Southern Free State Project - it's warmer :)

Sadly, the Florida media seems to think just because you don't raise a lot of money (i.e. special interests) that you are not viable. But Wyllie is, he is rising in the polls, and he is going to blow the race out of the water if he can raise this money that will help get him into the debates. Wyllie can run just as an effective campaign, with $150,000, as his opponents can do with $1,000,000 or more

BTW, for those in Florida, come out and meet Wyllie as he tours the state on his "craft beer tour".

The tour is in support of a thriving industry that came under attack by the Republican led legislature (and the Anheuser-Busch wholesaler lobbyists) in 2014, and it will probably be back as an issue in 2015. The legislation would crush the industry with burdensome regulation, such as forcing the small breweries to sell their product to a large distributor (like AB), then buy it back at a higher cost just to sell it in their own stores! Wyllie, and the Liberty First Network, was a force in fighting this legislation

For background on the craft beer issue, read here http://www.intuitionaleworks.com/2014/03/18/help-save-florid...

Thank you very much...

...for posting about all this...good luck to him

but sad to say there may be a 'help' or 'donate' issue because of someone listed in this article:

hopefully the someone can get it done alone

sorry. :( please keep us updated. presently no solutions come to mind.

thank you

I know

what you are saying, but in Wyllie's case, he is up against a VERY disenchanted voter base on both sides. The Dems don't embrace Crist because he just changes party when it serves his needs (i.e. he is not a real Dem), and the Repubs, especially the "tea party", don't embrace Scott because he has done nothing but grow the state budget and line his own pockets. This, coupled with the fact more and more voters are finally realizing the establishment offers nothing new, could very well be Wyllie's golden ticket.
