Im sorry, but my heart is pulling me to support bombing ISIS

I started the thread by saying Im sorry, because this goes against my principals, but these are some evil bastards and I cant stand watching how unbelievably brutal they are to Christians and others. The Iraq war was the most disgusting war ive ever witnessed. I am a non interventionist through and through. But the mess was already made and Id never send ground troops in, but Im with Rand on this one, where I would not rule out airstrikes against these disgusting oxygen thieves THAT WE CREATED! Im so ashamed of our political leaders for their supporting the rebels in Syria, which is ISIS. Like how Israel created Hamas, we created Al Qaeda and ISIS, but the bottom line is that in REAL TIME they are raping women, beheading Christian children! I cant stand by without wanting some justice and no other country has the capability to kill these evil evil evil disgusting excuses of human beings. I have LITERALLY never seen such brutality even, even after being in the army during the Abu Al Zarqawi days, this brutality from ISIS is a whole other level.

I am not trying to convince any of you. I respect and understand you 100% but I believe in Liberty because it works and its moral, but I don't follow it like a religion and its dogma. Im gonna have to break from my principals this once and say I support SOMETHING to get rid of these blood thirsty monsters who actually have the gull to think God wants them to behead people and put them on spikes in public parks paid by Iraqi tax payers. Unreal...

They are...

raping, robbing and killing in Detroit, East LA, Compton, etc... Can we bomb them too?

Really, why not? (Sincere question)

The Philosophy Of Liberty -

Ideologues to the Left, Ideologues to the Right

War is always bad, but war isn't always the worst option. There are ideologues on either side of that argument; neoconservatives who will advocate for war always in all situations, and libertarians (or liberals) who will advocate for peace (that is to say, no use of the military) always in all situations. Both are predictable and both are juvenile.

Unfortunately, war doesn't fix all the problems (as we all know). Likewise, peace is sometimes the opposite of peace; it's just turning a blind eye to suffering, war, and destruction.

I'm glad the author of this post feels this way. It shows he is willing to consider each situation on its circumstances and merits, and not blindly follow the religion.

Why Apologize

Why would you apologize if you think that bombing Iraq is the right decision? Maybe it's because your BRAIN is telling you that you're wrong.

Why do you need the U.S.

Why do you need the U.S. government to go over there? All you would need is to get an AK, some BDU's, a passport, and other survival gear and fly over to Iraq to volunteer to join up with the ISIS resistance movemement.

All "news" is someone's

All "news" is someone's propaganda.

Well then you and your heart

Well then you and your heart should march right down to the local recruitment office and sign up to fight. Also, make sure to send your family too.

Read between the lines. . .

CNN headline this morning;

"Obama: Iraq campaign will be 'long-term project' "
The headline below that:
"Dozens of kids die trapped by ISIS"

Directly below, An picture of a big eyed kid with a pacifier in being held by older sister.

What that headline is saying is that the Iraq intervention today is a humanitarian issue, and it implies that you are a bad person if you do not support it. It says, with out saying, that you support the killing of kids if you do no support the intervention.

This is misinformation at its best. It is designed to pull at your compassion for the vulnerable.

I agree that it is hard to see things like that but we cannot forget:
1. Why are we not involved in other humanitarian issues all over the world?
2. Why ISIS and others exist.
3. The amount of civilian casualties greasing the war machines wheels. They are creating their future enemies for future conflicts.

If you want to provide a humanitarian support, its done with humanitarian tools.....food, medicine, etc. It isnt done with more bombs and guns.

Watch "Generation Kill" Its on AMAZON prime. It has multiple scenes and a rude awakening of children being killed in Iraq. It seemed somewhat realistic to me.

My heart is pulling me to support bombing Israel

As an American, I know I should support Peace.

Well you're right, it isn't

Well you're right, it isn't good to base a decision on the dogma of some system if you don't see the logic in it.

The point is more Muslims are converted to terrorism every day as their families and friends are killed by US forces. And new dictators are put in place that couldn't get the support of the people they will rule. And wealth is destroyed.

That level of hate and anger can't be fixed. It will never end until humans go through enough spiritual evolution. But

But if you're having a reaction to the Muslims killing Christians, then that's no different from their reaction, except of course that about a million of them have been killed, so in a way their outrage is a little more justified.

Hmm

Have you ever wondered why ISIS has done nothing against Israel?

Important question.

-Larz

or Al Qaeda

Yes, and barbaric as they are, they seem to be intimidated on doing anything to Israel, the sworn enemy, and rather focus on killing the other branches of Islam.

Supposedly they claimed credit for kidnapping and killing of the 3 Israeli boys, but it's so hard to figure out who's lying. Has anyone actually seen pictures of the boys bodies? Did it even happen? Was it a staged false flag? Kind of strange that the bodies were very near where they were lived, but no one could find them for days?

Makes you wonder...

RP R3VOLution

because

Israel would shoot back.

I would have to disagree

I would have to disagree because I think they would if they had the resources to which I believe they are trying to do just that by taking over Syria, Iraq and Jorden to surround Israel with an Islamic Caliphate. This is kind of similar to what happened in the 60's when Israel had a war with all the neighboring Arab countries, with Nasser and Anwar Sadat.

Not sure what you're getting at....

ISIS operates in Iraq and Syria.

This whole situation burns me up inside!

The only reason Obama is sending in bombs is to "protect our interests" i.e. the American Embassy and any Americans in Iraq and I find myself yelling at the tv when the news is on saying "get us all the f*** out!" Bombing these people is not going to make them like us any better and I fail to see how killing people for killing people is cause for going and killing more people. Seriously??? I think I shall be sick......

What are you fightin' for?
Caught in the middle?
Freedom is only for those with the guts to defend it!

You have a right to support

You have a right to support intervention if you want, but lets not be in denial with statements about being a non interventionist through and through.

When they bomb with their "surgical strikes" (which is like calling a machete a precision eye surgery scalpel), there will be innocent men, women, and children that die. How does this killing of innocents make you any better than ISIS? Two wrongs don't make a right.

The video is available of the surgical strikes.

Declassified, for you to see. no innocent bystanders are hanging around in the open field of an APC and a howitzer.

While, I hate the fact that the NWO and powers that be, caused the "US" military to create this problem in the first place, and our foreign policy of shitting in thy neighbors front yard, does create consequences, I do feel sending armed drones in with MORE frequent surgical strikes to save thousands of people trapped on a mountain top, dehydrating to death, is a safe way not to endanger american personnel.

ALSO, the us military sent some cargo aircraft, c17 and c130 to drop water and mre'S to the people... which I am against, using manned aircraft even thou it was a humanitarian mission. There are remotely piloted KMAX and other helicopters that can do the job, no american children in harms way.

an "ALLY" asked us for a bombing campaign. We were invited to do so.
Also for the NEWS reports of savegery, I take them with a grain of salt as I do not know the facts that happen behind closed doors. But when you can easily see via sattelite images of people on a mountain top being dehydrated to death, and fired upon, I am sure we can expend some RC airplanes and some missles to cut a path for them to get out... give them some water and food. While I hate saying it, Obama makes me happy about the way he is giving Israel the cold shoulder, (WISH HE WOULD CUT THEIR FOREIGN AID) but in this instance, in iraq, he is so inept and stupid, that I can only think of one president worse than him. Lincoln. Granted Lincoln wasn't stupid.

On another point. These Yadiz people, is the perfect example of what can happen to a population that is disarmed.

Freedom may be worth searching for.

I have given up on my fellow Americans, (not DPers) as I will not shed one more calorie trying to awaken anyone else who is not a critical thinker and does not have the inherent feeling that something is wrong.

ISIS is running around with

ISIS is running around with American military machinery given to the Iraqi army, so why would flooding the area with more weapons be effective the next time? Remember the Einstein definition of insanity about doing the same thing over and over?

You should check out this series by Vice news on the rule of ISIS, and while I sure wouldn't want to be under it, it's not as horrible as the propaganda suggests. In one part they explain how Christians are subjected to an extra tax for not converting, which is far from genocide. If you live by the sword and fight them, you might die by the sword. If Cesar demands a tax, render unto Cesar what is Cesar's, or choose to fight to the death. The U.S. killing people and providing weapons of war, does not bring peace. War is the opposite of peace, which a lot of people don't seem to get.

We caused this...by destabilizing Iraq in the first place!

..in two HIGHLY ILLEGAL wars in 1991 and 2003 under father and son WAR CRIMINAL (translation: should be hanged like Mussolini) duo of DEATH George HW and George W Bush.

And we sponsored sanctions between the Iraq wars that caused the starvation of 500,000 Iraqi children during the administration of another war criminal president, Bill Clinton.

Iraq's DEMISE is the SOLE FAULT of the US and NATO's crimes against humanity over the last 23 years.

The rise of ISIS...is the FAULT of the US and NATO and their "allies", such as Saudi Arabia. We CAUSED THIS. We CREATED this extreme instability.

There is BLOOD on now FOUR American president's hands...and their ENTIRE administrations.

We BROKE Iraq, we BROKE Libya, and tried to break SYRIA.

Stopping ISIS in their tracks would NOT be "intervening".

It would be FIXING the MESS that the USA & NATO caused in the first place!!! We have the OBLIGATION to fix this mess, by whatever means necessary.

I agree with your sentiments....

The Next Group Might Be Worse Than ISIS

Every time we get involved some horrible person or group ends up in charge. How do we know the next group we prop up wont be worse than ISIS? WE DON'T

Who made you judge, jury, and executioner?

Do you believe in innocent until proven guilty? Are you going to make sure 100% of these bombs in dropped on the people who you perceive committed the atrocities that you never actually witnessed?

As someone who has served more time in the military than 99% of the people on this forum, I can say that this post disgusts me. It is the void of principles and logic that are dragging us into one conflict after another. It would be nice if you didn't make yourself such a vulnerable target for the establishment to manipulate.

Help them. There have to be Christian mercenaries somewhere

I'm kind-of out of the loop, but Christian organizations raise money like nobody else, so why haven't any mercenaries been sent over?
