Michael (Nystrom), could you kindly answer these questions?

Michael I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your site and allowing us to "hang around" here. And as every house has rules (for example: in some homes you are not allowed to enter with your shoes on, in some homes they choose not to allow alcohol, just to give an example). I see there are new members that are starting to post (for example: http://www.dailypaul.com/324038/my-first-post-atherosclerosis). I think that in order to help new and old members post things that make you happy, I would like to ask you a few question to learn more about how you envision this site working. So here are my questions:

*What types of posts and comments do you (personally) like the most?
*Which types of posts do you really dislike?
*How do you feel about people using foul language on this site?
*What do people do or comment that will get their name vanished from this site?
*Will you ever open sections to this site in more than one language (have a German, Spanish, Chinese, etc)
*What would you like to see more of in this site? What would you like to see less of?
*What do you like the most of running this website? And what do you dislike the most for that task?
*Is there anything you think we can do to make your task lighter and easier? (i.e. you need more moderators, other volunteers, etc)
*Is there anything else you think that is important for us to know?

PS if anyone has more questions feel free to ask and I will add them to the list.

Sorry Ed

Busy days, working and running around from morning until late into the night. I haven't forgotten. Just waiting until I get a clear span of time. Tomorrow, I hope.

Thank you again.

No problem :)

I know that you must be busy in the middle of the fundraiser. Take your time...

you need more moderators, other volunteers?

Always laugh at that one. In my experience the last one I would tap for mod would be the one who constantly bugs me to become one. Too funny.

I've seen that a few times on the DP, makes me chuckle every time.

I've spent hundreds & hundreds of dollars using the Amazon link.

I was curious: how much am I helping the DP???

How many dollars, if any, does the DP get for every $100 I spend at Amazon.com through the DP link? I'm hoping Amazon is sharing at least 1% with the DP.

If it's sensitive info and you can't say, I totally understand.
Thanks :)

What happened to the Amazon link on the DP???

Oh wow, I think the Amazon link has been removed! I remember clicking through during the summer but it's no where to be found on the DP!

On the blue menu bar ^^

Way over on the right.

Agreed, it USED to be there. Not anymore...

Agreed, it used to be there. But I don't see it there right now.

On my blue bar at the top it reads: About, Forums, DP Store, Links, Support DP, Search, Logout, and lastly Advertise. No Amazon link.

It is there on my screen. I

It is there on my screen. I use it on a regular basis.

This is so strange. I use it

This is so strange. I use it all the time too. I used it earlier this summer. I don't understand...hmmmm, I'm going to try using another computer to see if that changes anything.

UPDATE:

Okay, so I used another browser and the Amazon link was there in between Logout and Advertise. So it must be my adbloc plugin or something that's messing with the link not showing up on my regular browser. Sorry for the confusion!

More questions for the (MAN)

1. If you were to "do the DP all over" and go back in time, what would you do differently?

2. In general, what large truths have you learned here at the DP?

3. Specifically about running a website and forum, what have you learned? What successes or failures? What advice could you give to someone doing the same?

4. Have you seen features on other sites that you thought were neat? Or thought maybe you wished to have on this site? (ex: The DP forum system "blobs" each conversation by color; up and downvotes; those are 2 features.)

Why hello Ed

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to answer these questions. It is a fine list you've assembled, and I'm honored that you would think of me to answer them.

Give me a bit of time to let them sink in, and to let me think of them. I'm in the midst of some upheaval right now, and I don't want to dash off answers without giving the questions the thought they deserve.

I'll be back.

I think Michael has answered

I think Michael has answered most of your questions in recent posts.

"Which types of posts do you really dislike?"

Probably posts like these that draw attention to himself instead of the main objective.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

You blew your credibility with me

zooamerica, You blew your credibility with me when you wrote "Mitt Romney is going to run for president again, and Rand Paul will be his running mate."

Mitt Romney wrote the blue print for Obamacare and you want him to run again, a known loser.

I predict Rand will not pick Romney as V.P

Let's see who wins

I wrote an objective

I wrote an objective opinion.

Shoot me while you're at it.

The Daily Paul (2016) is like Common Sense (1776)

You MAN are like Thomas Paine a political activist, philosopher, author, political theorist and revolutionary.

Add German 1st because when we free the USA we can bee line it to Berlin and free those poor Socialists next.
