"Thank You for Your Cooperation"

I am so mad my stomach hurts right now.

I was on my way home from work, and I stopped at the bus stop, when some people drove up in a car. A chick and guy got out and started looking around. She said she was looking for a wallet. Nobody there said they had seen it, so they got back in the car and drove off. the other guy still at the stop left on a bike, and I felt very strongly like walking more. Since I always go with my gut, I walked.

A few minutes later the same car pulled up beside me and a guy asked if I had seen anything "back there." I said no. They asked a few more times. I still said no. Then the other guy said "I'd hate to have to hurt someone," and again they asked if I knew about the wallet. No. He said "I'd hate for anyone to get hurt. Would you mind showing me what's in your pockets? I just want to make sure you don't have it. If it weren't mine it wouldn't be such a big deal, but it's real important, I'd hate to have to hurt you. Why won't you just show me what's in your pockets?" I said I didn't feel comfortable emptying my pockets for them because I don't appreciate being threatened. I walked away and they drove off.

I called 911 right away, and then when I got to the next bus stop there were a few people there, so I waited there. Guess who showed up again? They parked around the corner and turned off there lights and came to confront me. I was still on the phone with the police and she started yammering about "good call the police I didn't threaten nobody, I'll call them if you don't." She was asking why I wouldn't just empty my pockets and saying it was "real suspicious cause that other guy didn't have no problem emptying his for us." I did flash my wallet to her, and I even flashed the ID so she could see it wasn't hers. Of course she tried to grab it, and insisted that she didn't really see the ID and they all look alike. Before the police came, her friends scampered like bugs, and so it was just her. The bus came, but I missed it because I figured I should wait for the police since I had called them.

When the cop pulled up, she immediately walked up and started talking to him about how she didn't know who called the police (lie) and she was just trying to find her wallet and how suspicious I was for not showing her my things. He asked again who called the police, and I said that I had called, but that she was not the one who had threatened me and the others had disappeared around the corner. He asked me if I would empty my pockets, and I said "For you, sir, I will do that." I showed him my wallet with my ID, and the other stuff I had on me.

Do you want to know why my stomach hurts?
When he had seen my things, he said - to me - "Thank you for your cooperation," and drove away!

That's what the wallet's for.

That's what the wallet's for. ID and money if I need it.
