The New Revolution

There’s a new Revolution brewing in this country today & it’s about government intervention. The liberals, who are in control of the Democratic Party, want government intervention in domestic issues i.e. welfare, healthcare, etc. The neo-conservatives, who are in control of the Republican Party, want government intervention in foreign policy i.e. preemptive strike, nation building, etc. Both Democrats and Republicans believe that the government should be very involved in the economy & the current housing crisis. Both sides are arguing that the answer to our domestic and foreign problems is MORE government intervention. The reason we're in such sad shape here & abroad is because of government intervention -- how can more government intervention be the answer!?

Congressman Ron Paul is the only candidate who proposes a totally different approach, the approach our founding fathers laid out for us, the one we're suppose to be following! The concept is very simple, the less government is involved the better off everyone be. A non-interventionist policy both foreign & domestic is what our founding fathers argued for, fought for & died for – it was at the very heart of our American Revolution. Why have we gotten so far away from this policy? The founding fathers knew that once government had a foothold in anything it would never stop increasing its power. That’s why they finally stood up in the 18th century and said enough is enough & that’s why we need to stand up today.

And just in case you're saying "yea, all politicians say one thing on the campaign trail & do another once they get elected", since 1976 when Dr. Paul was first elected to Congress:

• He has never voted to raise taxes.
• He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
• He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
• He has never taken a government-paid junket.
• He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension plan
• He has never voted to give the executive branch more power or expand the federal government.

He has always stuck to his principles, even when he was the only one voting that way.
