I'm No Fan Of Vandalism, But...

This post is a distraction for me, but today i saw a graffiti written on the walls of a building, next to the school when I picked up my son. And I think there may be a lesson for all of us.

Background: a few weeks ago, someone got a 100 down-votes for asking a quite loaded question.

(I always enjoy reading the most down-voted as well as the most up-voted.)

While many obviously was offended, some took the time and gave a few suggestions for further education on the matter.

Thinking there was nothing new to be heard, or learned... I did click on the video as suggested, and heard an hour of information, that was in sharp contradiction with what I have known to be true my whole adult life.

Had I seen the graffiti a few weeks ago, I would have discarded the message as complete nonsense, but today I got it.

Here is the lesson I learned and wanted to share with you:

Be patient with people, some of us are more thickheaded than others, and some of us, has been subjected to a lifelong propaganda.

The graffiti just read: FREE GAZA

And here was the clip that showed me the other (and often unheard/untold) side of the story:

PEACE, Yours truly!

Just Another Way Of Looking At It

Consider taking no offense at a downvote (taking offense is a choice)? Then they become harmless.

It's not a popularity contest and, even if it is, it's not one you need care about excelling in.

Scawarren, thanks for having my back here, i saw it happening too: you +1 and 5 min. later it was back to zero, without an explanation. :-)

It is a sensitive subject to a lot of people. And people has been hammered over opinions on the subject. For the same reason, i almost didn't post!

My hope was, this post just would be a reminder, that it does pay off to explain the things, backing it up, and just allow people (me!) some time, to come around when they (I) are (am) ready.
