Fox News Host Eric Bolling Declares: “I’m An Anarcho-capitalist”

Fox News’ Host of “The Five,” Eric Bolling came out and declared himself an “Anarcho-capitalist,” the radical libertarian school of thought which declares the primacy of the individual over the collective.

In a segment discussing Millenials and their stance on socialism, Bolling stated:

Let’s talk about the difference between socialism and capitalism, OK? You may not like the extent to which we are capitalists. We may be overly capitalists, anarcho-capitalist. I know I am. I’m proud of it. That’s why I wore this today.

Difference is profit motive. The profit motive makes you work harder. The profit motive makes you risk your own capital and labor. And the profit motive enables you to innovate and come up with new ideas that will help end up creating profits for yourself.

Bolling has been making great strides towards libertarianism in recent years. Despite being hostile to libertarians over foreign policy disputes in the past, Bolling openly embraced libertarian ideas as the “wave of the future.” He has also has been on the record sympathizing with Edward Snowden against the NSA, as well as rejecting the more establishment Chris Christie’s policies in favor of those of Senator Rand Paul.

It’s an exciting thing to watch unfold on national television as a prominent news anchor becomes more and more libertarian. We at Liberty Viral wish the best for Eric Bolling, and are very excited to see more from him as he continues to shape his views and help libertarian ideas gain more influence.

** Seeing the geopolitical/econ-tea leaves??

What say y'all??

While I'd like to think that anyone is capable of genuine internal 'catharsis' and philosophical evolution, but expecting a Faux-anything's yapping head with years of publicly vested positions extolling the virtues of all the wrong things, to 'flip' for something more evolved, would be akin to expecting Michael Moore to become an AnCap...overnight.

Plus, then there's the whole Doctor Ronald Ernest Paul-hatin', Fed. Reserve-loving public testimonies by Bolling; consistency, kinda extremely valued currency within libertarian/AnCap/volutaryist/agorist r3VOL circles:

Fox News: If Ron Paul Won't Support A GOP Candidate, Take Him Out Of The Debates

This weekend, Ron Paul appeared on Fox News Sunday and declared that, were he not to gain the GOP nomination, he probably wouldn't support the actual candidate if they go against his beliefs. This evening on The Five, a show that hasn't been particularly Paul-friendly in the past, that statement didn't go over all that well with Andrea Tantaros stating that, if Paul felt that way, maybe he should be taken out of the Republican debates.

The comment came after Eric Bolling argued that "this is what's wrong with Ron Paul, right there." Tantaros added: "Well, if he's not going to support a Republican, then take him out of the Republican debates."

Bolling agreed that that was a "great point."

1:48 "Do you think there's still like a little stirring of support for him"

Bob Beckel
2:18 "If he wants to do away with FEMA, i want to do away with Ron Paul, that would be a fair swap i think"

Eric Bolling
2:42 "its his convictions dana they are so extreme. Here's a guy who says ok, the fed is outdated, we don't need a fed we have to go back to the gold standard, sorry!! it just can't happen, theres not enough gold on the planet to do that"
3:08 " he says the only borders we need to secure are our own, so other words were going to leave Israel out there hanging in the middle east?"

Seeing as how AnCaps' de facto prerequisite is non-interventionism in all aspects of life, are NOT control freaks about affairs of others, and don't give a damn about the nonexistent 'econ philosophy membership club'-card, anyone can claim to be one, but is this like the 'Glenn Beck-ing' of libertarianism analogue for AnCap-dom??

Is "AnCap" like the new 'thang' for the definitionally clueless TV-statist mouthpieces??

But hey, who knows; I could be wrong: guess if Glenn Beck can declare himself a 'libertarian,' why not 'one up him' with the 'AnCap'-card?

xD

I interpreted that as

him just misusing that word because he's on Fox News and his viewers might have heard of that word as something generally positive, but don't really know what it is, so that's his way of keeping them from looking into it further.

He could either mean "we" as in the general U.S. sentiment or "we" as in that's how the U.S. economy operates. Either way, I don't think it's a shift in his position unless he declares it so. It's just misusing a word to keep people thinking Fox News alone could keep them informed on an adequate range of topics.

Defend Liberty!

probably...

oy, guess it is a 'thang' now. lol.

If only America would hand

If only America would hand Israel out to dry in the ME! Then we might have some peace and quiet for once. No more wars for Israel!

A real news anchor would not

A real news anchor would not color the news with their personal opinion, which is why it is so disheartening to acknowledge there are virtually no credible sources of news available anywhere.

what is this "real news anchor" you speak of??

anchors, are teleprompter readers who merely read scripts written by other people. they're basically bio-robots who don't do anything other than relay. as such, anything they say outside the script is by definition "personal opinion."

'unbiased news' is an oxymoron, let alone an unbiased 'news' 'reporter'... especially one from Faux- anything.

even before the more overt rampant 'modern' MSM propaganda that we're all currently drowning under, the biggest myth is that a reporter or journalist were ever somehow unbiased or that personal opinions never or rarely entered their work.

it's total nonsense.

humans are inherently subjective creatures fortified by their own individual life experiences and realizations, who can never be 100% objective or unbiased. at best, it'd be in a spectrum of degrees and ranges.

don't know why anyone these days (especially among the R3d Pill-ed) would have hard time discerning news sources: somewhere between biased domestic and international reporting, omissions, and one's own knowledge of history, and awareness of macro geopolitical trends, lie the truth.

suppose I always take it as a given that, at least within informed circles, no one would take CNN/FNC/MSNBC/RT ABC/CBS/NBC/PBS seriously; in between their reports, you can easily spot a pattern and omission, and truth. just the way it is, IM very biased O, lol.

What say y'all??

I've noticed over the last couple of years he's become a huge Rand fan - he comes across to me as more sincere than Beck - just my observation (and I'm not on the Rand bandwagon).

more sincere than Beck?

yup, probably.
