Intention is cause

photoshopwiz once sent me an article with that title, via the US Postal System

Intention is cause

- - -

It is time for me, with the Daily Paul, to go back to Original Intention.

Time to get back.

I spent time remembering my Original Intention tonight with Samantha, who just became an American Citizen. It was in June, at Faneuil Hall.

Memories. How could I not go back to that place and not remember the Boston Tea Party?

She chose it. She takes it seriously. She cares about America.

In a way I look at it like a piece of paperwork. She knows better. America always has been, and still remains the freedom beacon of the world. Samantha sees America with fresh eyes.

What was the original intent for starting the Daily Paul? What was your original intent for signing on?

That is what we need to do. (I hate it when people 'we' on me, so let me readjust my language.) That is what I need to do.

Get back.

Get back to where you once belonged, Nystrom.

Michael was a man who thought he was a loner,
But he knew it couldn't last.

Thank you Daily Paul, for being my teacher.

In the context of my experiences involving Ron Paul I can say with confidence that his example was part of my inspiration to run for Congress in 1996.

For some Seee-a-ttle grass.

Yeah, it is grassy out here. Oh, yeah.

Ha! In a way I look at it like a piece of paperwork.

That shows you how much I, and everyone of us, take Citizenship for granted. It is a global empire, and this is Rome. This is still the best place to be.

I am so grateful every day for everything that I have. For just being alive. Sometimes my cells all just sing!

Have you figured it out yet then, kiddo? What's it going to be? What was the original intent?

He's the man.

Congratulations, Samantha!

This is so true:

"America always has been, and still remains the freedom beacon of the world."

We must keep it that way!

I agree, Intention is Cause!

"May future generations look back on our work and say that these were men and women who, in a moment of great crisis, stood up to their politicians, their opinion-makers, and the establishment, and saved their country." -- Ron Paul

Come together

Home is wherever you are when your heart's at the wheel.

Did you slaughter a bull yesterday, or something? Did the Ace of Swords finally turn up? Was it bloody [that's my favorite part :D]? You don't have to answer those. What happens in The Tower stays in the tower! :D

It sounds like you made it out of there okay, and that you might be traveling a bit lighter today, not so top heavy. Hey Jude, such success earns you a gold star. ;)

I was so tired of the MSM

Generic, corporate, sterile, toeing the party line on everything, discussing seriously nothing.

That is what I wanted.

Rand is doing that, but I want to see more of that.

I want to see politicians taking risks. I want to see them fight for what they believe in.

Rand Paul is, and on the democratic side, Elizabeth Warren is.

Keep your eye on her.

Hillary Clinton is a joke. Warren is 2012's Obama. Keep an eye on her.

I voted for her over lukewarm Scott Brown in 2012.

With Lizzy, I know exactly where she stands. Scott Brown?

Scott Brown reminds me of this one guy who used to hang around with the Paulers. He pretended to be a Paulie, but all he wanted to do was get elected, because he thought he'd have a smooth life smoozing.

I think he switched to Democrat now.

Being a Republican in Massachusetts is suicide.

At any rate, Warren is my odds on favorite to challenge Rand in the race for Potus. And I think that should be an interesting debate.

You guys are going to kill me, but I think Warren will win that Superbowl.

Don't hate me because I'm beautiful.

He's the man.

Warren could beat Rand, but...

…just having that contest would be great for the liberty movement.

What you said reminds me...

of an open letter that I wrote to the MSM. I remember being very pissed at the blatant bias against Dr. Paul. I wanted to rectify the situation.

Intention is personal cause but not necessarily the underlying cause. For instance, I believe that most of the troops have good intentions when enlisting; however, despite their intentions, the underlying reasons they go to war are a completely separate animal.

We must be careful when justifying actions with intentions. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

When one runs into a situation where he or she discovers good intentions have failed, rather than say things like - "Well, I meant well" - error should be admitted - maybe, "I meant well but, boy, did that go shitty. I'll know better next time." Leaving it at "I meant well" is a contagious and dangerous rationalization that leaves the door open for not only you but others who buy the rationalization to use the same excuse in the future.

This is not pointed at you, Michael (beyond the first paragraph). It is more of a general statement. I was thinking out-loud.

PS - There needs to be an equivalent term to "thinking out-loud" for the internet because besides the sounds of keystrokes there was very little sound involved.

I would like to see

Rand and Warren on same ticket. Wouldn't that be wild? A Dem and GOP team running for the presidency.

Warren does show principle and conviction

However, she has always been hawkish on war: http://original.antiwar.com/john-v-walsh/2012/04/02/hawk-fig...

http://www.masslive.com/politics/index.ssf/2014/08/sen_eliza...

The debate would be focused on the Economy, with Rand on the defensive. Warren would use all the buzzwords that liberals love ("Social Justice", "Equality",etc.) and likely be the winner.

I could also see Warren running as VP to give Hillary some "Progressive Cred" and keep the Democratic Party together, which means that the GOP would need to appeal to the NeoCons for a counter-coalition(which Rand appears to be building).

Awesome

Very interesting perspective! I must say, respect the man, although not a huge fan of Prince. But groovy song and HUGE fan of GrooveShark!

-Also, I could definitely see the Liz Warren thing. Not gonna lie, she makes her verbal diarrhea sound like gold. Especially to the left.

I'm there with you friend...

we're all longing for this idea known as liberty...

The place to start is with the Self

That is the only one that can be controlled.

Others can't be controlled. That is a violation of the NAP.

The only one that can be controlled is the Self.

He's the man.
Debbie's picture

Not all control of others is bad and violates the NAP.

:)

Debbie

To control even that "one" is enough challenge.

Like Smudge said , Eyes open.
Knees bent
And ride the Wave.

I'll take my Liberty, it's not yours to give.

There are no truer words...

control of self leads one to the humble life they were born into.
