Here we go again, bombing an ideology and making new "radical terrorists."

I don't know if that story of the U.S. journalist who ISIS claims to have beheaded is true or not.

But their point is well-taken; that continued U.S. intervention in the middle east will cause more blowback.

Remember the Bush arguments about how terrible Saddam was? And the daily lies from the White House designed to get American acceptance for an invasion of Iraq?

How is this any different?

Obama in the media saying the exact same things about ISIS so we can bomb away.

We have no business in that region and should just let it play out: The 7th Century fighting with the 7th Century.

More radicals will be made and Americans will be less safe both here and abroad AGAIN due to the action of the rogue CIA and misuse of the U.S. military by our government.

This is NOT about being "isolationists" as the GOP rats call us...

It's about staying the hell out of situations which are NOT matters of national defense.

It's about enriching the profiteers of wars; "defense" contractors, weapons-makers, military big-wigs, politicians, bankers etc.

You can't bomb away an ideology.

So once you start, you ultimately end up with exactly what the military-industrial complex wants; BOOTS ON THE GROUND followed by unending occupations and involvements.

Obama needs to RETURN his Nobel "Peace Prize" bacause his policies are not much different from those of Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld; Pre-emptive strikes, drone bombings, interventions, occupations, undelcared "wars" etc.

I'm not saying it didn't happen, but

have you watched the interviews with the parents? The mom....like she craves the attention of the camera. She seems happy, just like the Sandy Hook parent interviews/Robbie Parker...or the Samantha Stay girl who 2 days after watching her whole family murdered in front of her goes out to a memorial and laughing and doing beauty queen waves and quoting Harry Potter.

Ralph, but if you WERE saying it didn't happen, I for one...

...wouldn't argue with you.

Yeah, but I wasn't in the mood to stir up a new

Hornet's nest on the DP. :)

Blow back is a two-way street

As the islamists step up their murders - the military will gain more and more support and more and more tax dollars.

And as the military gains more and more support and more...

...and more tax dollars,

and intervenes, bombs, drones and attacks there will me all the more blowback.

We'll never win at this game because there are billions of people in the middle east who we'd like to kill but we can't kill them all.

So we'll only radicalize more and more people and make it less and less safe for Americans both at home and abroad.

We didn't learn a thing from 9/11. Just how safe did the U.S. government make it for all those who died that day?

It was our interventions into affairs abroad which don't involve us which led to that event.

Yet on and on we go making the same mistakes over and over - All for the profiteers of war and conflict.

Never let a good crisis go to waste

As long as americans look to govt to solve problems, govt will continue to grow and create new problems.

But we did not create radical islam and as much as I think intervening is immoral, I have no sympathy for those who would have just as happily danced on my grave. They created their own blow back and they are a much more immoral state.

The problem is we should know better than to take the bait. And republicans should realize that Heritage Foundation and ACU to name a few are evil.

We always take the bait because there's BIG money in wars...

...interventions, invasions, occupations etc.

But we American citizens are a lot LESS safe here and abroad because of our government's foreign policy of intervention and violence.

I just wish that when radical Islam lands on our shores that they would go after the bastards who deserve it like Gramham, McCain, King, Medved, Levin, Beck, Limbaugh, Cheney, Rumsfeld etc.

Unfortunately those who make the policies (and publically support it) always get by unscathed.

They are never the ones having to jump out of burning buildings.

Hell, they don't have the guts to strap on a weapon and go over there to kill the Arabs they want to kill, but they're real quick to advocate sending someone else's kids to do it.

Not the point

You are acting like a victim.

Chicken-hawk Republicans are in office because red-state conservatives support them. If the average Joe voter stopped to think about what is really going on then they would not be in office.

You can whine about the establishment or you can try to educate people - like RP, Tom Woods and a few others who get it.

Let the GOP lose more elections and they might figure out that we are the voters they are losing.

Do they put the enemy in locations ideal for assassinations?

Makes me wonder if they stage these enemies near the houses of political opponents, or heads of corporations they want to take out, etc -- and perhaps those enemies aren't ever there, they're just given the coordinates and "yes sir" the bomb drops.

Compartmentalization is evil. Everyone should know what's going on.

I want to point out that part of the above wondering came from an episode of "Over There" I saw many years ago, here it is: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0668183/?ref_=ttep_ep9 where they find millions of dollars in some guy's wall, he comes home to intruders and starts shooting and they win. That really freaked me out. What would you do if you came home to intruders helping themselves to your stuff? It really gave me a different perspective on just what's going on, and I was surprised the show wasn't canceled after that episode. It made it four more, rounding out the season, but wasn't picked up again. I have a feeling that episode was jarring to a lot of the audience; reports said they lost 60% of the audience as the season moved forward. Anyway, that was the influence.

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

I finally saw the video last night for the first time...

It's most likely a fake.

The American is way too calm right before getting his throat slit. He puts up no fight and there is no blood when the cutting begins.

And he spoke way to calmly and coherently to think he's all drugged up. The audio is too pristine like it was recorded indoors.

Then they cut away and don't show any actual beheading - only a body with a head on top after the deed was (supposedly) done.

I can't believe no one is challenging the authenticity of this video.

It looks like another false flag probably designed by the CIA to influence the sheeples into accepting another war.

Like John McCain said "I don't care if we're in Iraq for a hundred years."

Looks like that bastard is going to get his wish.

I haven't watched the

I haven't watched the video...have no desire to. From the comments, it appears it could be another psy-op trying to turn public opinion. Wouldn't surprise me. This government will do anything it can to start wars to protect the petrodollar.

The idea of the government going to war over the death of one person is just twilight zone stuff. Hundreds of thousands of people die each year from hospital mistakes, hundreds from illegal police shootings, thousands from drunk drivers, etc. The idea that a country would "avenge" a single death by bombing and killing countless innocent people and sacrificing your own in the process is absurd. When the f%$^ will the people in this country wake up?

If you don't want to get your head chopped off, then stay the hell out of these war zones.

News and photos of the beheaded

Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and Afgahns slaughtered and nary a single photo or story of one of these people certainly experiencing monstrous and gory dismemberment from bombs, missiles, mines, guns and more.

Thousands of dead US soldiers and no newscasts showing the bodybags coming home.

But one dude gets it when the US happen to be horny to attack? Hey, a news story!

Currently consuming: Gatto: "Underground history of education..", FDR; Wii U; NEP Football

Great points Tasmlab...I like how you put that one phrase...

"Thousands of dead US soldiers and no newscasts showing the bodybags coming home.

But one dude gets it when the US happens to be horny to attack?

Hey, a news story!"

That sums it all up very well.

funding & fighting

The very fact the the USG is funding factions of this radical ideology in one country while trying to bomb it out of another speaks volumes. Enough is enough already.

You got that right...The immoral rats in Congress like Lyndsey..

...Graham, McCain Peter King who advocate "arming the rebels" are responsible for this.

But that's what their constituents want after all.

They all get quite wealthy with it.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

Exactly

I truly don't know how most in Congress can even live with themselves. I understand the desire to be wealthy, but these hawks must be completely devoid of all morality to achieve it with the death and destruction of so many human beings and communities.

Perfectly stated Misscarrieann ... And all that as American...

...citizens not only stand by, THEY RE-ELECT THEM!

It's utterly unbelievable that Lyndsey Graham survived that primary.

Now he'll win again in November and we'll be stuck with that bastard for another 6 years.

SHAME SHAME SHAME on the people of South Carolina.
