Why not name VP?

It woulds get some press if its a big name.

It would assist in campaigning greatly! VP candidate could be in other states while RP is in others.

It would help donations. Supporters of VP would donate as well.

Why not name one now?

It would certainly

be a smart thing to do. I floated this idea several times over the last several months here on DailyPaul. It got a very positive response and, of course, lots of names were suggested.

- free publicity
- costs nothing
- underscores the non-traditional aspects of the campaign
- puts another official person out on the campaign
- gives the campaign someone who can say things that RP simply will not say
- attracts voters

I see no down side to this at all

My personal choice would be Pat Buchanan. He knows how to manipulate the old media, can go negative easily, fine debater, agrees with RP on most things, knows how to package words, appeals to voters, isn't a lawyer, a politician, or a judge.

h-daddy

name VP now

Totally agree! It would be a sweet shot in the arm before Super Tuesday!

The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt

I agree - name him now.

We're running on principle - not politics.

Put a big name in there.

Walter Williams.
Napalitano(sp?)
Judge Moore
Alan Keyes

They don't usually name VP

They usually wait until the convention/nomination because everyone waits to see how it will go first before they agree to being VP, and they want to see if the delegates are begging for a conservative or moderate. Then they will pick according to that.

It's all a very calculated big game. If you ever have some time, study up on past elections/campaigns and you will see examples.

This is not a regular past election

It is quite diferent.

Does my burka make my butt look fatwa?

I agree

I can see both sides of this, but I think it could help the campaign...ESPECIALLY if that person can talk the talk and act as a "clone" of RP -- to some degree at least. All that extra exposure would be very valuable and, who knows, maybe the guy can get the message out, dare I say it, better than the Doctor due to better speaking skills/presentation?

Michael Badnarik!
