Facebook MySpace Money Bomb Push!!!
Submitted by jesser79 on Fri, 02/01/2008 - 18:36Lets divide the contacts RP has on Facebook and MySpace into groups and email them asking for $51 donation today. If HQ won't email them then we will. I can coordinate this tonight if I can get some volunteers. RP has 80,000+ supporters on FB and more on MySpace. If we can get half to donate that would give us 2-3mil more today. We have to reach out and request these donation much like we have to canvass. Please let me know if you like this idea or not?? I'll be driving home and will expect some comments and bumps if you are onboard. Think about it.... we could hit 7mil overall with this effort.

I think it's a great idea.
But, I don't know anything about either of those things (space book or whatever). I have heard of them, but that's it. I don't know anyone personally who does use them. If I could help, I would.

I was emailing
people on myspace last night. Last look (last night around 2-3 am) Ron Pauls official myspace page had nearly 123000 friends. I was emailing left and right telling them to go and donate. I probably emailed 75 ppl or so. With the following message:

I had several people email me back and tell me "thank you and they were going right then" I had some tell me they didn't have credit cards so I directed them to the donate page and showed them where they could do this by mail. Others told me they already donated or were going to donate today. Etc...but it seemed to do some good.

What would be a persuasive way to ask?
The wording of a fundraising letter can make or break the response. We need some good wording.
Also... I am not a myspace or facebook person. Do people with accounts there have access to the email addresses of "friends" of RP? Or is it a question of having to log in to send the "email"? How do the logistics work in terms of how many recipients can be included at a time?
