Well let's just usher in the Bible predictions

Canvassing, I spoke with a Huckabee supporter who, "Could never vote for someone who has that stance on abortion." My answer was that government cannot dictate morality.

Then we started talking about globalization. He said, "No matter who is elected, we will have globalization." "Yes, except with Dr. Paul." "I'm ok with globalization, the Bible says that is what we will have, with one world government, a real ID, etc. I'm perfectly comfortable with that." "I don't think the Bible means for us not to try to do anything about it. If we are able to follow Biblical teaching, then we should do that. It is warning us about what will happen if we cannot follow His word."

We got off with him saying he would check the website.

Why, oh why, do Christians think that we are suppose to go along with the dire consequences of our immorality and rejection of Christ? If we can teach enough, we can delay this situation and have more time to win souls to Jesus. If we usher the whole thing in, then we are not being responsible with what he has entrusted to us. I think they think delaying it is delaying the return of Christ. Christ will come when we can no longer succeed in winning souls to Him. He isn't rushing us, but we are rushing Him. It is not up to us to decide when it will happen. We should do our best to win souls and live right. So Huckabee would mandate that women not have abortion by making it against the law, I guess. I see that it is not up to the government to tell us what to eat, what to smoke, what to think, what to do, where, when and how to do anything. We have to learn to make the wise choices. The government also should not try to enforce our charity-moving to another subject. Wonder what Huck says about that. Actually, I really don't care, because I have experienced what is right.

I do not stand with those who will do nothing

I live by this:
God is in control.
I do my part to stand up for what is right to help my family, friends, and fellow man. I believe my actions honor God. If I do nothing, I am not obedient to the one I serve.

Those who think that they should sit by and let evil overcome the world do not understand theology, or they're just one of the millions of ignorant cultural "christians" who are brainwashed by "Churchianity."

I agree, we are commanded to be active

in warning people of the consequences of their actions, and to be obedient to God the book of James has quite a bit to say about faith w/o works.

Re: Bible Predictions

My Friend,

It's much bigger than that!! It's beyond the realm of our current thinking!

"The world we have made, as a result of the level of thinking we have done thus far, creates problems we cannot solve at the same level of thinking at which we created them" - Albert Einstein

We must get out of moral obligation and get into rational thinking. We must get out of convincing someone out of their core beliefs. We must get into the business of showing them the light outside of every darkness.

Regardless of what you hold dear to religion, you will not convince someone otherwise. This is not about conquering belief more than it is getting everyone on the same page. And as you try to overcome that which is the shortcomings of the proper way to think, you must understand that the thinking surpasses your belief.

The word is the word, the law is the law, the soul is the soul...it goes beyond that in which we always held as true, because...quite simply, we were lied to.

Best wishes,
Alex

theology is man's ideas of God...

God does not believe in athiests....think about it...

2Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Can you go and argue theology somewhere else?

This post was here over 12 hours ago. Ron Paul Forums might be more appropriate for this???

Theology

Ron Paul states he is a born again Christian. Many of his supporters are believers in Christ. We have a right to discuss this here just like you have a right not to read the posts and close your eyes to reality.

none...

how about you??? in rural america it is not wise to go on someone's porch after bed time...heh...you might get shot. you go ahead and try it though if you want.

2Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

real Christians...

real Christians know Bible prophecy and resist ID's of all kinds...knowing what it will lead to. we also resist globalism...for we also know what will come of it. we are not scared of it though....for it is written that it must come to pass. those who think that they will escape it by being raptured out of here better think again. we are headed for very dark days and i'm prepared to be beheaded for the Word of God, the Gospel, and for the testimony... of Jesus Christ.

Rev 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

2Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

the bible

authors were not prophecizing-they were 'planning'. This is a manifesto in disguise, people. Warping the true teachings for their plan-a long time in the works. SO,heck yea,it is not mandatory or inevitable,as it were. Free will. Decide who runs your life. Really runs it. [www.jordanmaxwell.com and www.michaeltsarion.com] Know who the atonites are?

Yup a bunch of rejected fisherman and sell out tax collectors

were planning to secretly take over the world. Some people will believe anything so they wont have to believe the truth.

Facts

Bible talked about Globalization back when tribes were fighting each other.
You can predict something with out causing it. Just because the Bible says it is coming does not mean God wants it to come.

2 Thessalonians talks about the restrainer. The Church's job is to restrain the spirit of anti Christ. That Christian is a lazy troll. Kinda like RP supporter who does not canvass.

Which Christian is a troll?

What are you talking about? If you are talking about the Christian in the original post with whom I was speaking about Dr. Paul, he is not a troll. He is a Huckabee supporter. Big difference.

Apparently your post is talking about someone else, but I am not following.

If the Christian in the original post refuses

Not to stand and restrain a force like the NWO or the spirit of anti Christ he is a troll. He believes something but is unwilling to do anything about it.

But Jeff

The "Christian" in the original post is not for Ron Paul. You cannot be a troll here unless you are for Ron Paul. The person (me) who posted the original post was the canvasser. The guy I was talking to is not a troll. He is just a simple voter out in the world who thinks Huckabee is the right guy because of his religious teachings. What I am saying is that there is a big division in Christians. There are the ones who think all the bad stuff in inevitable and we should smile and take it and then there are the ones who think we need to do all we can to keep it from happening, but know that God is there to catch our fall.

We agree!!

I am using the term troll to define a person who says "blah blah this will happen and I can do nothing about it"
I am a Christian I believe that we are responsible for our actions. 1,000,000 deaths in Iraq because I helped GWB get elected. I am accountable. If I sit back and do not try to fix it I am a troll too.

I suggest you usher your butt off the computer

If you are in a state where super Tuesday primaries are coming up....
This is round 12 (so to speak)and it is time to give every effort we can...
Canvassing and calling into talk radio are what we should be doing....
I am in Texas,so we have until march....but....I have been canvassing for weeks....not debating bible prophecy....
The Lord helps those who help themselves......

With whom are you speaking?

If it is I, I beg your pardon!! It was canvassing that the communication came about. I am no more connected to the computer than you seem to be.

geez not this s*** again

The bible is a really old version of Fox News. There have and will always be sheeple. No mind of their own.

Wait

You are the one who dug this up. Why are you saying, geez not this again. This was buried until you dug it up. Or at least you are the next poster to keep it going. It was long gone, unless someone responded to someone down the way who had responded to their post, in which case, by responding to it freshly, you have kept it going. If you have no interest in it, why post?

Post has Legs

I've been hounding the Dailypauly for weeks and this was one of those curious but not so curious topics. Lo and behold this topic is still hanging in for literally hours.

So I hit the link and find some very interesting disussion.

This quote kicked my ass.

'If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin. Samuel Adams'

This made me weep because I have had beer at a local institution and this loosened my emotions. Well, please enjoy that quote.

I will be pontificating on liberty, justice, and freedom for the the rest of my days based on the concepts of our finest statesman.

I love Ron Paul

Who is the Authority in Romans 13:1?

I hate to tell you this but most churches have this wrong and they are deceived and they are also deceiving others. They do not understand what the Authority is. They say the Authorities are men who God has put in power. Now to someone who doesn’t know much about how to study the bible this would sound true. But if you study the bible the way you are told to in the bible which is line upon line and precept upon precept then you know this is a false teaching.

Rom 13:1-7

13:1 Submit to Government

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4 For he is God's minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience' sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God's ministers attending continually to this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.
NKJV

The reason that Revelations was not to be understood by Daniel or the first churches is there are components of the visions that would not come to pass until the last days. God knew that it would take 2000+ years for man to learn all of these components.

Ex 12:43-49

43 Passover Regulations

(Gen 17:9-14; Ex 12:1-13)

And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "This is the ordinance of the Passover: No foreigner shall eat it. 44 But every man's servant who is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then he may eat it. 45 A sojourner and a hired servant shall not eat it. 46 In one house it shall be eaten; you shall not carry any of the flesh outside the house, nor shall you break one of its bones. 47 All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. 48 And when a stranger dwells with you and wants to keep the Passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as a native of the land. For no uncircumcised person shall eat it. 49 One law shall be for the native-born and for the stranger who dwells among you."
NKJV

If you notice there are two components of the law one is Passover it is (an ordinance /a rule/command) for what is called the native-born and judges (in ancient Hebrew it means to govern = government/a set of rules/law) is for the native-born and the stranger. Notice there are no rulers here only God.

One law shall be for the native-born and for the stranger who dwells among you.

God put in place Priest who observes Passover for the native-born and Judges for the native-born and the stranger. Here you can see that God puts all laws in place!

Gen 1:1 - Num 25:5

Now Israel remained in Acacia Grove, and the people began to commit harlotry with the women of Moab. 2 They invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods. 3 So Israel was joined to Baal of Peor, and the anger of the LORD was aroused against Israel.

4 Then the LORD said to Moses,"Take all the leaders of the people and hang the offenders before the LORD, out in the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may turn away from Israel."

5 So Moses said to the judges of Israel,"Every one of you kill his men who were joined to Baal of Peor."
NKJV

Pay close attention to who was judged here

Then the LORD said to Moses,"Take all the leaders of the people and hang the offenders before the LORD, out in the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may turn away from Israel."

It was the leaders of the people and all the judge’s men who were joined to Baal of peor who were killed.

Deut 1:16-18

16 "Then I commanded your judges at that time, saying, 'Hear the cases between your brethren, and judge righteously between a man and his brother or the stranger who is with him. 17 You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid in any man's presence, for the judgment is God's. The case that is too hard for you, bring to me, and I will hear it.' 18 And I commanded you at that time all the things which you should do.
NKJV

Here again it shows that the Judges would here the case of all its citizens be they Native-born or stranger.

The first mention of Authority in the bible comes in this passage look at it closely please.

Gen 39:4-6

4 So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority .
5 So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was on all that he had in the house and in the field.
6 Thus he left all that he had in Joseph's hand, and he did not know what he had except for the bread which he ate.
NKJV

This is the key part of this scripture.

So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority .

If Authority means leader or ruler here as most churches today believe then this would mean he made Joseph overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his leader/ruler. It doesn’t say that Joseph served his master’s leader/ruler. His master was the leader/ruler. No this is saying he made him overseer of his house. From the word of God we know that ever man is the master of his household meaning he sets the rules of his house. This means he made him overseer of the rules (command/governance) of his house. In other words he put all that he had under Joseph’s (ordinance/law).

There are many more places in the bible that show that authority does not mean a person/ruler. Authority is law. All nations have at one time in their history had just laws that are its authority. The law was the authority of both the leaders and the people of that nation but evil men want to rule over others so they corrupt the laws to suit their own desires. These corrupt men will always try to become the authority. They put themselves above the law while making their self-proclaimed laws harder on the common man.

If you take this biblical wisdom and put it with this scripture you can see that the scripture becomes more relevant in the times we live.

Rev 13:1-10

Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying,"Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?"

5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear. 10 He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
NKJV

It is clear here that the antichrist will usurp the law and he will claim to be the Authority. He will claim that all people must obey his command. We all know the commands we must listen to. There is only one Authority in this universe. (God!) And his name is Jesus.

Might I add that the prophets where used by God to bring forth Gods commands (ordinance and laws) Jesus called the priest and government officals vipers and snakes for killing the prophets (the law bringers). They wanted to make the laws themselves so they killed anyone who got in their way even the prophets. The Constitution and the bill of rights stand in their way. These documents are the last of the authoritative laws on earth that hold them back from being the makers/enforcers/interpreters of the laws of the world. Their goal is to be the only Authority on earth. In short they want to be gods.

I was too sleepy

to read your inclusive post last night. Just finished it and it does spell it all out as many of us know it. It would be interesting to be in a room with you and relate all the details to all the current things that are happening.

The bottom line is that the Bible is describing our situation, but we need to fight it. The Bible is talking to those who will hear-in other words-those who will not deny what is going on. The part I don't like is that: "They wanted to make the laws themselves so they killed anyone who got in their way even the prophets."

What I am reading into what you said is that you think we people should follow the "authority" - the Constitution and put up the good fight to maintain it. Whereas the voter I was speaking with thinks that because the Bible says basically that the devil is coming to take over, well it is inevitable and he is ok with it. But you are saying, it is not inevitable, we must resist evil.

I believe

in god. but i have had problems discussing the current dire issues we have in the world with our religious family members. they say, 'i'm just leaving it in gods hands'. i tell them you can't just lay there and expect god to take care of everything because if that's the way it worked we wouldn't be in mess we are in in the first place because he would have just 'taken care of everything'. we need only help ourselves then will we be helped.

remember the story about...

soddom and gommorah....they were destroyed because God could not even find TEN righteous people in the entire town!!!

.

Impressive! People talking both religion and politics *at the same time* without calling each other names. My hat is off to all of you, pretty intelligent conversation.

My $0.02. I'm not particularly religious these days but I always thought Rev 17-18 referred to the US, or the US as the seventh, just a matter of when. Hmm, but now that I re-read it, now I'm thinking maybe just NY mainly.
