Aloha! We desperately need advice here in Hawaii. The GOP is changing the rules mid caucus. We need to know how to contact National and ask for advice.
We are doing very well with delegates so they are opening up the republican membership again to recruit NON Paul supporters- like the Romney campaign and send them to the State Convention to water down the Ron Paul delegates.
The paid staff person is a complete waste of time. Please help us.

If someone would like to delete all this, that would be fine. Didn't want ti to get into bickering with the staff. We all have better things to do.

so more people can see how rediculous all of this stuff is. These caucuses are being "stolen" from us. They continue to change the "rules" in mid-stream. What are we going to do? What can we do?

I feel like telling someone to send the Hawaii GOP spam mail and also a virus. It's pretty damned obvious the Republicans hate Paul! Bunch of frustrated Comunazi NEOCONS! They love war so much, why don't they have the balls to fight the "Islamofascists" (as they call them) on the battlefield? We must flood, and I mean literally flood the states with RP supporters from other states. If war is what they want, war is what they'll get and we won't take it anymore!!!
Divided Leadership is the Last Thing You Need

The state coordinator was hired for a particular reason. The reason being that national trusts his judgment. The last thing you need to do is create divided leadership in Hawaii's Ron Paul campaign. We have been successful thus far and are on our way to winning the state. Please trust the HQ here, everything is being done as it should.
You have already been informed that this issue was investigated and the rules were not broken. We also have the opportunity to fill empty delegate seats and this gives us an advantage. We must organize and fill the seats, which is being done now.
Please save your energy on helping the campaign rather than dividing it.

The coordinator is the weak link in this entire Hawaii campaign. A plant would do a better job. He's done more to divide the campaign than anyone. This is an important issue and the paid staff people should be attending to it rather than tell us if we "deem it necessary to contact an attorney" to do so.
We've missed out on many delegates because of wrong information from the campaign. More of a liability than an asset.

In Louisiana, The LaGOP was the problem. They didn't want Ron, and looked the other way, when a prolife/profamily Ronald Reagan slate was made with the list of other candidates excluding Ron Paul's delegates and alternates. The list was made by Gatorworks, www.gatortesting.net/prolifeprofamily . I heard that the person who sponsored the list is related to staff of LAGOP. Also heard that they were both delegates and alternates that won. The link may not work on a Ron Paul site

This is clearly illegal and should not be taking place. we all need to video and voice record this stuff if it happens and we can have the biggest lawsuit in history. I hate to say this
and I'm not advocating violence in any way, but it's getting time that we approached these things like the old union bosses used to to.
Look, the GOP party can do whatever it wants to do... and it'll wait for legal action to be taken on it and by then of course it's too late. Look at LA for instance.... and what is happening in Maine and HI right now. We need to start being a little more proactive.
Such as, if the rules have changed mid-stream, get 14 BIG Ron Paul supporters at the front door to enforce the former rule. If anyone has a cow about it, great! Get the media there to report on it. See what happens... let the GOP itself attempt to start a legal proceeding. What do we get out of it? Publicity for one. Secondly, let THEM attempt legal action... it will be too late...lol

Wasn't that what happened down there, too?? We should try and learn from that ... is there any way you could create some sort of "freedom" slate of delegates in Hawaii? Like they did in LA to try and beat RP??
We have a different kind of caucus
We don't get to vote for Ron Paul at the caucus or convention. We just get to vote for delegates to the State Convention. They have 1048 possible seats to fill statewide. The average over the years runs 300. This year they've been predicting 1000. We don't see those numbers. At the caucuses on Maui and reportedly in Honolulu, who precincts go empty or have one person.
At the State Convention it narrows down to 20 delegates elected to the Rep. National Convention to vote for a candidate. The gov, lt gov and chair get the first 3 seats and the rest are up for grabs. We're trying to fill the 17 seats as are the other candidates' supporters.
So it all comes down to delegates. They're assuming- and correctly, that the new republicans since say Oct are Ron Paul supporters. The county Chair is having a cow. Sent out an ugly email to her trusted republicans and called Ron Paul supporters "cult members".
Our need is to know if it's legal for them to let people sign up as republicans after the caucuses and slide them into the convention. I can picture campaigns walking into churches and handing everyone a membership card and voter registration. We had strict deadlines to attend the caucuses- had to be a republican member 10 days before the caucus. We've had several casualties- the card was mailed in individually and "lost" in the mail. So they couldn't vote at the caucus. What good does it do to have caucuses if it's going to be a free for all afterwards?
Maybe I'm giving too much info here. Shut me up if I am.

the reason they are allowing you to fill the seats is because they don't want empty seats going into the caucus. They need all the precinct seats filled going into the convention. Better is be Ron Paul people...so lets get moving and fill those empty seats

When is your caucus? This must be illegal!
This is not right. It cannot possibly be legal to change the rules this late.
We must compile a record of all the last-minute changes. Then I'll write an article outlining all the voter fraud that proves the GOP is after Paul. This is flat-out just not right.

We're just finishing the last Maui caucus tomorrow
The rules state that the district chairs and county chairs can fill vacancies. But we were told those vacancies were filled with already registered republicans. We don't like it, but can live with it.
Now we understand they are opening up the membership again and letting new members, post caucus, attend the convention.
The rules are vague but were explained to us as I first said and now they are making these changes to water down the RP delegates.
We need help!
