Didn't he just beat the IRS at his tax trial? That would be an interesting endorsement wouldn't it? Or a stage appearance on a RP tax speech?

Or just to show up and kick
Or just to show up and kick Chuck Norris' a--. :D
"But, indeed, no private person has a right to complain, by suit in court, on the ground of a breach of the Constitution. The Constitution it is true, is a compact, but he is not a party to it."
always bet on black
he would definitely add something...would be fascinating media attention and some of us would prefer Wesley to Oprah any day, lol
Wesley Snipes for Vice President
I read an article saying that he may get three years (can not find it now but its called "Jury Acquits Wesley Snipes of Tax Fraud" by AP).
Besides being a big fish to fry, I believe that he did not do all of his homework.
Thanks to the web, many more Americans are questioning the legality - http://www.thelawthatneverwas.com/new/home.asp - of the 16 amendment and the requirement - http://www.freeenterprisesociety.com/pr02.htm - to file 1040s every year. When certain formalities are done, and in the right sequence, you'll realize that you 'sincerely' you do not have to file income tax returns either.

PS see the movie Freedom to Fascism - http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1656880303867390173 - as a starter. The hero and patriotic producer, Aaron Russo, died last August. May he rest in peace.
Repeal the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 and the 16th amendment - sound money for our communities and out of Washington, DC.

Snipes didn't use any of those arguments.
Wesley Snipes, I believe, used the 861 argument, which I have studied extensively, and know it to be a sound statutory argument. He didn't claim the tax to be unconstitutional, but instead he claimed that the renumeration paid to him did not constitute gross income.
Laken Rose did a lot of the research along with Thurston Bell (whose web page was forced down by the DOJ several years back).
If anyone knew how corrupt the IRS and our DOJ and our judicial system is....in most cases the defendent is actually not allowed to present the law in his defense.
yes, the inability to use the law in one's defense was
deneid to Irwin Schiff as well.
he still
might be doing 3 years
with that hanging over his head
he'll probably be low-keying it. Oh well...
