Why doesn't Ron Paul talk about his history more often?

Healthcare, Military, Economy, Values

In the last CA debate, when Romney was talking about his business experience and McCain was talking about his military experience, why didn't Paul talk about HIS time serving on House financial commities and the Air Force?

When talking about foreign policy, why hasn't he empasized that he has actually served our military IN Ethiopia, TURKEY, SOUTH KOREA, and IRAN?

A month-and-a-half ago everyone seemed to be talking about bombing Iran, yet I'm pretty sure Paul's the only one who's actually BEEN there. On top of that, Paul gets like three times as many donations from soldiers as McCain does, yet I've only heard him mention this twice.

When Huckabee woos the hearts of values voters, why doesn't Paul remind the American people that he grew up Lutheran and almost became a minister in that church, and that he is now currently a Baptist. Let's also not forget he's just celebrated his 51st wedding anniversery and he was recently endorsed by the former Jane Roe.

And why is Paul so pro-life? He's an OB/GYN! He's a doctor and knows more about the health care system than any candidate in either major party!

In the 6 minutes they gave him

I the 6 minutes they gave him he did not have time. They really stay away from his record in questions. It makes him look to good.

The one thing I keep wishing he would mention...

Since hes always talking about the economy I wish he would mention during these debates that he is a ranking member of the House Financial Services Committee! Why the hell doesnt he! This burns my ass. I would be letting people know the credentials i have if i was going to be talking about financial issues. Does he expect them to just know that he is on that committee?

Our strengths can come across as weaknesses...

The very thing we love about him is that he is peaceful, honest, humble, and a great human being.

It almost seems like he is too humble to constantly talk about how qualified he his...which he is the MOST qualified. Notice how often he says, "it's not about me, it's about the message and the people". That is how he truly feels and what makes him so great.

Unfortunately, that is not the way America expects politicians to talk. And so they go for people that are arrogant, aggressive, and downright dishonest. Lots of people tend to gravitate toward that in their leaders.

It is a shame actually, as it shows just how far the moral integrity of the country has fallen. In American politics, humility is apparently bad. :(

Yeah

The more I hear the slick-talking Romney and McCain talk, the less I'm able to entertain the idea of voting for either of them if Paul loses the race.

And Huckabee, though I believe he is genuine, just wouldn't make a great president.

If the honest libertarian/constitutionalist wing of the Republican party loses out this year to the contradictory/flip-flopping neocon wing, I'm going to reregister myself as a member of the Libertarian Party.
