A thought, read Paul/Huckabee ticket

After watching the MTV debate yesterday and thinking about an old saying: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" and seeing how Huckabee and Paul are the oursiders and the Kids no one wants to play with, I thought about them coming together for a common good. Then I read this article.

Please, I beg you, before you post something like this will you please take the time to study Huck and Paul's records and their stance on the issues and see how far apart they are? These posts are really unnecessary.

Oh, he hasn't openly opposed it like Ron Paul has? That's what I thought.
And how about Huckabee's philosophy about "saving face" over the Iraq quagmire?
Sorry, but Huck doesn't even come close to living up to Ron Paul's principles. Not even close.

Ron Paul has the Christian vote already. I'm a Christian and I support Ron Paul. I have talked to many Christians right here on this site. I think you would be a little more accurate if you said he needs the Relativist vote to win. Sorry my friend this group of so called Christians already has chosen the side they wish to be on. Its called the UN and world religion backed up by force. No my friend your stuck with us Christians who believe their is only one Truth. The ones who believe in a right and a wrong. ron paul is a man of integrity, not selling out to win an election.
there is no way to reconcile his and huckster's foreign policy, not to mention huckabee's tax record.
Huck's slick
Listen to what he says on foreign policy during the debates.
He calls going into Iraq a mistake, and the little tussle between him and Paul about "honor" helped them both out.
I'm not a fan of Huck's tax record, or his biblical references.
That's reasons why I wouldn't think he'd make a good President.
But the role of a VP would be very limited in a Paul admin, Huckabee wouldn't be like Cheney and step all over the constitution.
The reasoning behind the benefit for Paul to have Huck as a VP is that Huck is a slickster. He's more fluff that substance, but instead of Paul stooping down to fluff, Huckabee could stump for him.

I dunno, did you read what I wrote below? Huck would be a terrible President...but you have to look at the motives of the man that is helping to make ending the IRS a mainstream idea.
There is a big difference between Paul/Huck and Huck/Paul.
I wouldn't vote for Huck/Paul, I would for Paul/Huck.
I don't think the Fairtax is a good idea, not by a longshot.
But I think I remember all the talking heads at Fox News and MSNBC criticizing Paul for saying he wanted to end the Income tax and IRS.
So the question comes to the REAL Ron Paul supporter:
If this went down to convention, and Huckabee would offer his delegates with an endorsement to Paul so that Paul would name Huck as his VP, you wouldn't vote for Ron Paul?
I sure as hell would
without hesitation. If Dr. Paul is accepting the endorsement and puts Mike Huckabee's up for VP, then who are we to say no? I would trust the good Dr. on this.
And, I don't think Paul/Huckabee is that farfetched. Far stranger pairings have happened. For example, JFK chose LBJ even thought he hated his guts.

Look at the policies, they don't have to be 100% matching.
The suggestion is Paul/Huck, not the other way around.
For me, Huck wears his religion too much on his sleeve, however, he's a smooth talker and would round off the ticket.
What many fail to realize is that both Huck and Paul are religious people, but I think Paul wears it closer to his heart and not waving it around like a flag.
Who really knows what's going on in the Huck camp right now?
Maybe the whole Haas thing is so that Huck can actually get some media attention. Maybe he's playing the CFR for fools.
If you listen to the inner rumblings of some Republicans, many where hoping for a Huck/Paul ticket. Now, many are thinking the other way around.
Who knows...we'll have to wait and see.
Usually when someone starts trying to make their stances known to be parallel to one of their 'rivals', they are really just trying to set up a partnership in the future.
