21 Years Young, Woah unto the Draft

0 votes

Is anybody else here nervous about being drafted to fight in this aggressive, unnecessary war? As I get older I become more convinced that me personally getting drafted is less likely, but I particularly worry about the compliance of others my age with authority, to give their lives because of a blind faith America is always right.

I hear the D word more and more lately, like they want the American people to be used to idea when it finally comes.

I feel for you!

I was drafted in the lottery in my senior year of high school for the Vietnam conflict, not even for a declared war. So I was ordered to take the physical and was pronounced fit to be drafted. I was so mad I started the procedure for a Conscientious Objector, but fate would have it that I was accepted into college and received a student deferment. I have been so disturbed by the possibility of a draft. I hope more states like Vermont start bringing their Natl Guard home. This conflict sickens me. Good Luck and I will be praying for you and our young people.
