I don't know who these unfortunate people are. With the housing bubble bursting, right as we speak, it won't be long and it will be "normal" Americans. In Devvy Kidds article she talked to one guy that had lost his house, his wife (due to the stress) and lost his job. So don't paint all the tents you see as drug addicts and illegals. As a matter of fact, the illegals in my town, Lumberton, NC, live in fairly decent housing, not tents.
