* * Fox Boycott???
I thought real supporters of RP were boycotting Fox?
Why? For warmongering, severe censorship of a candidate and for blocking the freedom message.
Why so many DP'ers on here watching Super Bowl?"
This revelation says everything about what is wrong with America.

When I was working I watched part of it through
The window of a sports bar.
Are you going to report me to the local tribunal, comrade?
Unify
Dr. Paul watched the SB...
It's the effing SB man. It's what people do on a Sunday in America. The boycott is still on, but we still have priorities, and man did you miss a great game.

That was the best game in Super Bowl History :)
Halftime was SUPPOSED to have a RP suprise.
But it never happened and I don't even know what the surprise was supposed to have been. I won't do that again!! Waste of time!!!
It's all good.!

I have no doubt that if Lenin were alive today, in the US, he would say "Sports is the opiate of the masses!"
I've never been able to appreciate, or even tolerate, professional sports --- to be honest, it's all too collectivist, "Fight for the team!", "My team right or wrong" kind of mentality. As many have said in the past, just a less-destructive surrogate for war. It always amazes me that more people don't see this.
I didn't!!! I was out
I didn't!!!
I was out canvassing and advising my neighbors of the caucus location
I woulda thrown a beer at you
if you came to my house during the superbowl.
Why so many watched the Super Bowl?
Answer:
Because free people can do that. When you try to mandate a censorship then it begins to resemble everyone else's candidacy.
The assertion that you aren't a "real RP supporter" if you watch Fox at all is not exactly the argument I would make.
Also, when you go to SB party, people might me more receptive to an upcoming election issue. Bigger audience.
Kudos, great post.
Kudos, great post.
Here's the answer..
Go to a superbowl party at a friends house. The more the better because their "viewer rating" will actually go down.
I did not boycott the superbowl because at this point it's as traditional as Christmas to most Americans. Regardless of what station it is on I'm not going to boycott something that is distinctly American.

I am glad I watched
One of the best SB of all time.
Somehow...
the thought of watching this propaganda keep the sheeple happy so called entertainment was the very LAST thing on my mind.
And boycotting FOX as a motivation? hmmm I really just don't think FOX ever factors into my thoughts in a meaningful way. Me? I guess I am just more focused on getting the message out to wake people up and use my free time to focus on real relationships. Really... the only thing FOX ever does is provide me ammo to use against them. Use that to wake someone up to what is really going on. That is MUCH more effective than any boycott. Not that I am putting the Boycott down, just don't think it is a relevant.
Boycotting?
Please - first of all, boycotting advertisers is one thing. But, how is not watching one program going to do anything? It's not like they know what we are watching (or do they?) Nonetheless, avoiding an event on a non-news network doesn't make one lick of difference.
And just so you know, even though the Super Bowl is one of my favorite things in this life, I missed the first quarter delivering RP signs and spent the second half punching Slim-Jims for door-hanging tomorrow and emailing about the delegate process - and this is after spending the entire morning and afternoon calling supporters and precinct members. (This also has been a very special bonding and drinking day with my best friend during the pregame festivities - not this year and I didn't even make my famous chili) Don't judge so quickly, I find football to be a very inspirational experience and we could all learn a lot from the team and perseverance aspect of sports and is one of the few things in life that gives me hope in the human experience.
And no, I'm not an athlete. I actually work in the performing arts (I was a pretty good football player in high school though) so please don't equate football with the braindead.

Not I
I did not watch the SB but, alas, my spouse watched, yelled, cursed, laughed, cried, jumped up & down, spilled snacks, etc.
But to be honest, if my beloved Cowboys had been playing, I'd probably have watched.....
Advertisers
I just wanted to see what advertisers I was going to boycott :)
Didn't watch it. Here at the
Didn't watch it. Here at the fire station, 3 of us boycotted the superbowl and we watched a western. I hope we aren't supposed to boycott Tom Selleck!
good for ya'll
The creative rationalizations by others are great.
And what?
Miss watching the most negative karma, negative class football team in history go into the tank?
shiiiiiiiit.. I'm a Steelers fan.. and if you would have told a PGH Steelers fan that the Pats were gonna get their asses handed to them on FOX tonight - I would have watched the game WITH Rupert Murdoch..
Then I might have accidently backhanded him during celebration :)
I'm with ya!
Steelers fan since I was five years old! - even though I live nowhere near the state. Have a Rothles-Berger and a gallon of good, brown beer (not that "light" watery stuff), it works for me. I also root for the AFC team no matter what (I guess it is that anti-establishment streak)
Enjoy life while you can, we may soon live in Hitlery's world of pain.

It's not Fox. It's FOXNEWS that we are boycotting...
Roger Ailes and company. Like the posters said below, the Fox Affiliate in my area ALSO did several good pieces on Dr.Paul

the superbowl is part of it! f fox f tv.Tv is why we are in this
to begin withWho do you think makes all the money?considering I dont do you ?,if you own a 401k or invest in the machine buying cars or new clothes youare part of it if you benefit in anyway from the machine
The super bowl
was simulcast on CTV in my country so I watched it. Plus, I've seen local Fox outlets do very positive segments on Ron Paul. I'm just boycotting Fox News.
I agree
Before the primary here the local affiliate had a very lengthy and postive interview with Ron Paul. I have not watched FNC since the last debate and will not tune in again.
For everyone who hates FNC - newshounds.us is a really interesting site: they monito FNC and report on all the bias and shoddy reporting that goes on there. They've even noted FNC's exclusion of RP. Highly recommend.
Your guys are
retarded. The super bowl is the biggest game of the year and to the guy who said he won't watch American Idol- get real. This boycott is ridiculous. I support Ron Paul but am not going to stop watching certain programs because I don't like Fox. I hate Fox news but even still you guys need to find better things to talk about.
Yea your right it is the
Yea your right it is the biggest game of the year and you know what else? This country is in the worst shape it has ever been in and the main network to continue to help destroy it has lied and silenced our good Dr. Paul.
It is a free country and go ahead make yourself feel better by watching fox however i on the other hand will not watch any show on FOX for i will not support and company that has commited such a diservice on the american people.
So go ahead and keep supporting these criminals that call themselves a network. If you continue to support these corrupt people you sir are the one who is retarded.

Can we stop using words like "retarded"?
You sound like a bunch of fifth-graders. Not to mention some people might find it offensive. Just sayin'.
'retarded'
retarded (Webster's)
adjective
Having only a limited ability to learn and understand: backward, dull, simple, simple-minded, slow, slow-witted.

Seems a pretty fitting word.
So let me get this straight:
People who disagree with you are "retarded"? Here's another word for you to look up: Immature.
