Has Anyone Seen Any RP TV ads in California?
Submitted by saxmanager on Mon, 02/04/2008 - 03:46
Have they purchased any time to show these ads we see on Youtube? The airways are saturated with Romney, Obama, and Clinton ads. Huck and John Sickbrain are not purchasing because they are broke, but why nothing for the good doctor. What are they saving it for?

I'm in Riverside
And I have only seen Obama and Romney ads. Not even a hillary ad here.
Nope...
Romney's, clinton, obama, 's nothing with Dr. Paul.
I think I would have had a mini stroke if I did see one. lol
BUT those indian gaming commericials are driving me nuts. Man do both sides have a TON of money to spend...ugh
make it stop....
saw ad by "Patriots for Ron Paul"
I saw an ad for RP on CNN during Larry King with BIll Maher. I'm in San Diego.
Yes, I've seen the same one a few times.
I am currently in the Sacramento area. I'm not real happy with the choice of commercial. It's about as bland as you can get. What happened to the commercial where Ron is saying, "I don't wan't to run your lives". or something to that effect. That was a powerful ad.
I might not like the ad but it definitely is playing during prime time on NBC.

Ron Paul "Sign Wave Across the USA" -- November 5th!
Yes
I've been seeing them regularly on CNN... the ones where he is giving a public speech about our foreign policy.

How to support RP's cause every day:
1. Don't use credit cards
2. Stamp your cash with RP stamp before spending
3. Take cash out of ATM, stamp, put back in bank
4. Explain to teller why you did #3
5. Repeat
What he said!

No
I have only seen Obama and Clinton ads. Not a single rep. ad. Maybe the rep. think the silicon valley is a lost cause.
I saw one a couple weeks ago

Not a Single RP TV ad in California
We didn't raise enough money for Ron Paul to put together an effective TV ad campaign in the Golden State. A successful ad campaign for California would probably cost an additional 10 to 20 million dollars. RP is concentrating his efforts on states that are below the radar. California is a high profile state with lots of delegates at stake. Maybe, despite the lack of TV advertising, he will do better here than expected.
I'd bet that a large percentage...

I'd bet that a large percentage...
of RP's money came from California supporters. I think I've seen somewhere that the most money came from Ohio, but I doubt that.
Anyway, people wonder why donations to the campaign have dropped off? Well, no TV ads in our states, no more money... pretty simple, really.

more likely, not enough money
resulted in dropping the California ads.
I saw a good RP in California (Central Coast) about 2-3 weeks ago. But, HQ must have had to drop the plan when the money slowed.

Out of Sight, Out of Mind...
We've spent the past few days distributing literature & found many who had heard of Ron Paul & liked his message, but because they don't see him competing in the media market, they don't want to "waste a vote" on him. We had also heard from several others that they had heard from the news that Ron Paul had dropped out of the race (although I got an email saying that it was Romney's campaign spreading this rumor). Some well placed ads over the weekend or even just today, on the eve of the primary when all the news shows are covering the election, would go a lot farther to bring these people to our side of the fence than we could.
saw one a few weeks ago
I saw a nice ad a few weeks ago one evening, on a local channel I believe. I figured they would increase, but I've basically stopped viewing the national stations and have cut down on all tv viewing. So, I don't know if any more are being run. Do you think the lack of $$ has required the HQ to cut back?

Same here.
I've heard radio ads on talk radio, but no TV. If you are getting no coverage at all from TV news, which apparently is the case, you've got to purchase ads. I'm disappointed as well.
