interesting
...i started to fill out a survey in 1995, before i exited. it had a few questions about whether or not i'd obey orders under a foreign command in a foreign country. it then went on to ask the same question for here in our country. it was at that very moment i decided to resign my commission in time to match up with my obligation period for scholarship in college. this was after several years serving my country stateside and overseas.
...but, i still take the oath seriously, and this is why i joined the revolution.
Do you know how most respond
to these questions? Do you know how military personnel feel about these sujects in general?
What can be said of a people who would sell their own children into slavery, using the rational that it is to protect their freedom?
As a member of the armed
As a member of the armed forces it is you DUTY to disobey an illegal order.
The oath you take to uphold the constitution takes precedence over any order from a superior, direct or otherwise. To do otherwise, is treasonous.
It disturbs me greatly that there are troops that have forgotten this.
So hereby I reserve the right to pass summary judgment on any troop that tries to confiscate my firearms. And we all know what the punishment for treason is.

The military is trained to follow orders from superior officers, PERIOD!
The milirary does not teach or provide the enlisted troops with constitional material.
Why do you think so many general officers have left the military since Bush became president? Answer, they were pushed out because they had issues with the unconstitutional ways of Bush and Rumsfeld was the point man for gleaning the trouble makers out.
Americans will not fight back until they are starving and bleeding.

cut fiber optic cables and internet regulation
I don't think we can take having the internet for granted. I think once the next President is in office (if it's not Ron Paul), action will be taken quickly to "regulate" the internet and the information one can receive therein. (Not to mention that I wouldn't put it past our government to cut the fiber optic cables leading to the States if they deemed it necessary!)

My friend in the Marines
I'm not sure if he's been taught this as policy, or what the deal is. But he has told me before that if he was ever ordered to go into American's houses to disarm them, he would and he'd do it with his gun at the ready and prepared to shoot.
He believes the military is right no matter what. Govt taken over by fascists, ordering military to go round people up. If people rise up against that, in his eyes the military is never in the wrong so therefor you are considered the enemy. In my opinion, troops rounding people up for no reason, is reason enough for people to fight back legally. But we'd still be the enemy according to him.
So maybe this is a widely held view by military members? I don't know, I sure hope not. At any rate, listening to my friend say that stuff was alarming to me and it really gave me a grim look at our possible future.

'Better hope the military donations keep coming in support of Ron Paul.
Also, all the incumbant dictator needs to do is recruit all the psyco's from jail -they won't care. Personally, this may have been a master dastardly plan but I think more and more people are getting opinion and truth news from the internet so the odds of it happening are lessening. Probably.

My Son
Is currently deployed, and yes, they are training them that way now.
They even have mock towns set up with pens full of ~actors~ who scream and cry and ask for food, for medical assistance for thier kids, etc. They are being trained to ignore it.
