I could not believe that a candidate was running who opposed abortion, was serious about down-sizing government, and was taking a stand against the Iraq war. On the 35th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court ruling, Norma McCorvey (a.k.a. "Jane Roe," who later changed her views on abortion in the mid-90s) gave Paul her official endorsement today.
"I support Ron Paul for president because we share the same goal, that of overturning Roe v. Wade. He has never wavered on the issue of being pro-life and has a voting record to prove it. He understands the importance of civil liberties for all, including the unborn," she said at a press conference in Washington this morning.
Paul accepted the pro-life activist's endorsement, saying of abortion: "It is still one of the most crucial issues of our day that we deal with this. As much as I talk about economic liberties, and civil liberties, and trying to avoid the killing overseas, I think the issue of life is paramount."

It seems Huckabee is getting most Christian voters who aren't thinking criticially as Chrisitan ought to. But in New York City where I live, it's Obama. He's dominating the churches in a way that Huck is in smaller towns. I can't wrap my head around it for the life of me. Of course, NYC is a socialist nightmare, so I guess that's how people are conditioned to think of government. Still... boggles the mind. And I go to a pretty conservative church.

I did not ask for a roster of famous or 'important' people --if you read below...you can see how rumors begin...and where this misinformation originated.
This thread simply asks for the above, for ---Christian 'sources/people' who support RP.

I'm a Christian! And I support RP -- I'm listed in the RP yellow pages too. (still waiting for some business to come my way though!)
And while I'm here, I started a list on yahoo for Christians for Ron Paul (or Christ4RP in shorthand.) We have 5 whole members so far! yahoo.
I'd post more on there, particularly prayers, but I signed up as a precinct leader here in Washington (across the state from Seattle, next to Idaho) and I'm busy with that.
Lastly, RP himself, along with Carol and 2 grand-daughters visited our fair burg last week, on the 31st. It was fantastic !!! and with only 2 days notice we had somewhere in the neighborhood of 1100 people there. A good portion of folks came from northern Idaho, too. I hope to get a picture or 2 on my blog in the next couple of days.
