an Obama knockout punch will benefit Paul

0 votes

In addition to watching the GOP results, I'm rooting for an Obama knockout punch. Should Obama beat Clinton on Super Tuesday, I think there's a chance she'll drop out.

Her whole strategy from the beginning was to fend off her competition as if she was the incumbent. If Obama beats her tomorrow, it is over for her. She'll never be able to recover and possibly bow out.

How does this benefit Paul? Well Ohio for example is an open primary. If the democratic race provides no interest, I think it'll help Paul's turnout.

regardless, tomorrow should turn out to be interesting...

It would actually be much better

if Hillary got the nomination. Conservatives would come out in droves to vote against her. The disillusioned young Democrats might go for Ron Paul and I hate to say it but a vast majority of men would probably lean towards Ron Paul just because.

But logically speaking that would most likely be the case.

Puppets come and puppets go but the world's stage is getting cluttered.

Since when has Hitlery been

Since when has Hitlery been one to bow out gracefully? More likely she'll pull a "Look over there" of some kind...maybe catching Obummer with a cigar or some such...

Other way around

I hope Hillary beats Obama. That way, you can still have you rvoters in Ohio come out for Paul. AND if there is a third party run down the road, tru anti war people will vote Paul over Hillary any day of the week.

No one's getting knocked out

Dems allocate delegates proportionally. With Clinton and Obama running neck and neck in most states, they will roughly split the delegates. They will probably slug it out through Texas/Ohio, or even later.

Also Disagree

Clinton will be much easier to defeat than Obama. Obama has that slick "say nothing but do it well" skill that Bill Clinton had. He already has a huge number of young people believing he is going to end the war. With Hitlery it is easy - Did you vote for the war, all the funding, and unilateral executive authority to attack Iran? "Yes" - Good, let's move on...

Yes, unfortunately Obama is

Yes, unfortunately Obama is just not the Dem we want against Ron Paul.
They share young voters, and a get out of the war now theme.
Also, theres the age difference. While i believe that there is merit and wisdom in age, many many poeple look at how 'young' Obama looks compared to McCain and Paul and, well, vote young because they either think they will die in office, or have no connection with 'young' voters.

Perception is a real concern when your dealing with sheeple.

Yeah.

Point is moot. But thanks for adding. Go RON!

Does my burka make my butt look fatwa?

ARE YOU KIDDING??

Its Obama's supporters who are most likely to go Ron Paul... he's got the younger crowd with him - its CLINTON who needs a knockout to benefit Ron Paul...

except she can't deliver

except she can't deliver that. Her campaign hinges on fending off Obama, who's constantly gaining ground and moving up. Obama won't drop out of the race until Clinton has reached the delegate threshold. On the other hand Clinton might drop before that if it becomes evident she's the underdog.

I'm just saying if the Dem primary is decided, then there's a good opportunity to get people to cross the line.
