Any success?

I have tried to get Audio Ads working, but it looks like the offer is by invitation only. Anyone have any luck? This is a good deal.

How can we make this legal under FEC rules?

I think this is a great idea, but I don't know enough about the intricacies of the FEC regulations to make a third-party media buy legal. Wouldn't this media buy be subject to the $2300 campaign contribution limit?

One good point is that

One good point is that Gallop having asked people if they have ever heard of or have any opinion of Ron Paul just introduced them to Dr. Paul and they will be curious as to who he is and try and find out.

Gallop

if Gallop says 70% has never heard of him and just that 30% of the population gives him 4% of their national poll, wouldn't that mean that, with more coverage, he'd have at least 12-14% polling numbers?

Yes! 14% - Thank You!

Thank you Alan for stating the simple fact that so many have overlooked! That is simple math that everyone should understand. (Of course it gets no press, because those "gatekeepers" fear for their luxury...)

Good, but what about the competition?

What are Google's competitors doing in response? If Google is cutting their pricing by 67 percent, their competition will have to follow suit, or lose the business. Don't assume that this is occurring in a vacuum. It's just a sign that demand for ads is down and Google needs this promotion to move more airtime.

A long row to hoe?

Gallup shows that as of Oct. 4-7, 71% of the American people have never heard of, or have no opinion about Ron Paul.

71%? Excellent!!

There are 2 things to notice here.

First, this means we raised that $5M from less than 30% of America. This is great because it means we have a gigantic base of future support still coming on board (we know that most people like him once they discover him).

Second, it means we only have to reach 2 to 3 more people apiece!

I'll go do my 3 tomorrow. :-)

Hmmm...

What the chart shows is that only half of all republicans that know who he is like him. The other candidates fair much better in this regard.

Free use of my recording studio

Hi Michael!

I read the article on TechCrunch and I think radio advertising would definitely help Ron Paul's campaign reach a new base.

I own/operate a ProTools recording studio in Salem, Oregon. I would like to offer my services free to anyone wanting to record/produce an advertisement for Ron Paul.

Please, feel free to contact me.

Hey, I know that studio! I once did a recording session there. As it happens I live not far away, in fact.

I'm sorry but this is a

I'm sorry but this is a terrible idea. Ron Paul has us to advertise for him on the internet. We don't need to waste money somewhere where we already have an enormous presence. What we need to do is canvass every event we can and get people talking about Ron. Enough of this internet stuff. I'm sorry but if we're going to expand the base, we need to hit the streets. And soon.

Not sure you understand... it's RADIO...

Bert,

I think you made the reasonable assumption that these were audio ads for the Internet, similar to AdWords. You might not know that in the past year Google has rolled out both print and radio ads for the "real world", in real newspapers and on real radio networks. These "audio ads" would not play on the internet; they too would be played on real live radio networks with their tens to hundreds of thousands of live listeners. It could be a HUGE investment--buy 1 get TWO free--and one that could get RP many, many hours of radio exposure. I think this should be a major target from now until January...

AHHHH, then great idea!
