Will Romney or Huckabee drop out of the race tomorrow?
Submitted by Brian James on Tue, 02/05/2008 - 01:15
What do you guys think? If McCain has a big day tomorrow, and all of the polls seem to indicate that he might, do you think Mitt will pack it in? Would it make sense for him to even bother spending more money and continuing his campaign when McCain keeps winning states over him? What about Huckabee? .. curious as to what you guys think about this.

Bigot
You do realize that Ron Paul opposes religious bigotry, such as you engage in, right? My children have extensive polygamy in their family history (yes, we're Mormon) and my entire family supports Ron Paul, and we are mainstream LDS (like Romney).
The LDS church discontinued polygamy in the early 1900's and Romney's grandfather was one of the last LDS polygamists. So were my children's great-great grandparents. BFD.
I guess we should also slam Huckabee for the Southern Baptists breaking with the Northern Baptists over the slavery issue, huh? Yeah, that'll win us some votes!
Get that chip off your shoulder and put your efforts toward electing Ron Paul, who believes in religious liberty for all, not bigotry such as you espouse.

Huckabee for Vice
Huckabee is staying -- as even the Media tells it correctly -- for the Vice President position --. He is in there to take away votes from Romney. After he won the Iowa event -- he has just laid very low; hardly campaigning, and says very little at the debates.
McCain has to reward him with the Veep slot; besides he will be a southern balance to the ticket.
Romney will stay if he wins CA; or wins a significant percentage of the delegates. Mitt needs to win 5 states out the 22 to be able to say he is still a viable candidate. If Mitt wins GA that would help him a lot; he should (has to win MA); he will win Utah.
McCain has to win NY, NJ, CT and to seal the deal -- GA, IL and CA.
Unless Romney sees a clear path to the nomination -- he will be out by the end of the week; he just will not continue to dump so much money into the race. With Mitt out; then McCain will have a clear path - and then Huck will drop out to pick up his Veep slot.
Now if Romney can win CA, and GA -- and IL -- then this could drag out.
McCain -- who is famous for acid temper outbursts - one of these days will flip out -- and scare the tar off everyone -- that this type of personality should not be near a finger on the bomb -- then Romey may be pushed ahead.
The Media seems to have been really pushing Romney this past week. I do not understand this. While all three are CFR agenda folks -- McCain and Huck are more sold out.
more sold out than Romney?
please explain why and how you have come to this conclusion!
Sure
Sure.
The reasons are these:
Huck talks about NWO issues regularly. HIs speech to CFR was posted on their Home Page just before he began his Iwoa takeoff (prior to being on the front page of CFR website he was polling very low.) He is surround by CFR agenda folks and actual members.
McCain is for CFR agenda; in speeches, and especially his voting record. Long history of being a pro New World Order supporter.
Romney is CFR because is a "club" member. He is surrounded by family and friends who push the Constitution. While he does have many CFR supporters, it is not as many as the other two -- from what I have seen.
But - I do have to admit that the CFR agenda controlled media have been pushing Mitt this past week.
Unless he can post some major wins tomorrow -- Mitt should be packing it in soon anyways.
I do not think making a video about his family history makes sense; why interject religion -- it would make us appear as religious bigots. As a Born Again Christian; even the thought of attacking another Christian is offense to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. That behavior is not of Jesus but of satan.
Hope Romney Beats Out McCain...
Hope Romney Beats Out McCain tomorrow.
IF McCain gets the nomination, then he would likely get a large number of independent votes come the general election. Then, (again) IF Dr. Paul decides to run as a 3rd party candidate, that would not help our cause.
Same thing for Obama, draws too many crossover votes.
My ideal situation is a Hillary/Romney/Paul showdown in November.
McCain sent out an e-mail
about "electability" and appointing conservative judges this a.m.
FYI
I think Huck
Is really in there to syphon votes away from both Ron Paul and Romney.
His reward.......Vice Presidential candidate. Neither will drop.

I think Romney will win
I think Romney will win tommorow. Unfortunately :( Hes Americas favorite used car salesman.
and...
"Hes Americas favorite used car salesman."
Not to mention the anti-Christ! ;) hey, someone had to say it. That man is pure greed and ego, dressed up in nice warm fuzzy pictures. But he scare's the living daylights out of me. Willard going on and on about "radical jihad" and "nuclear terrorism" makes me want to radically nuclear vomit. He's such a phony but he sure looks slick and has a nicely modulated tone emanating from that plastic head of his.

Mitt will Lose
But claim that he is a winner.
Then do what he does best, complain and whine. Most likely blame Huck
acutally Ron Paul is going
acutally Ron Paul is going to win!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm thinking Romney
That is, if he is really spending that much of his own money,
Huck might hang around for the leftovers, long enough to figure out which way they swing. He may be running out of money too, but I think he's spending at a lower rate than Romney.
McCain is getting free advertising right now, He's the Network news flavor of the week. He's also done some fund raising..
Oh, how I would LOVE to see a McCain/Paul debate!
Can they call a debate early? You know, like calling a fight.
When it's obvious that one guy is fighting WAY out of his class..LOL

According to the latest poll numbers and
the number of delegates that are in play and their likely distribution, McCain will not "sew up" the nomination. Having said that, and keeping in mind my own estimation (suspicions) of McCain's potential state of diminished mental capacity, it would not surprize me at all to see him make public annoucements of his cabinet appointments as well as announce the formation of a committee charged with finding suitable nominees for the next opening on the U.S. Supreme Court.
If McCain does well like you say
then yes, Romney and Huckabee will drop out or "suspend" their campaigns. But if California goes to Romney he'll stay in, especially if he or Huckabee win Missouri and Georgia.
All I want to say is that there is a LOT
of MIS-information out there. Remember the NEO-con game plan...IF they want Hillary elected in November she MUST be up against an impotent Republican Nominee, such as McCain. Realize that much of what you are hearing is drama to keep you occupied. Keep an eye on Washington and what bills are to be passed and or presented this week and next. Such as the "Get out of Jail Free" bill for the telecoms!

you are forgetting
how easily people are manipulated. When it's time to let Romney fade against Hillary, they will find a way - just like they did with Huckabee.
Romney is not a strong candidate at all, but he has been shielded because McCain became the "frontrunner" and is taking all the hits.
They needed to keep people away from Ron Paul - one of the strategies is -
they prop up the boogieman McCain to steer people to the primary's version of the lesser of 2 evils, and then there are the really simple minded sheep actually believe Romney's a conservative.
If the GOP picks McCain, it plays right into our hands. So you think they don't realize that? We need to be geared up to defeat Romney, not McCain!!!!!
Even Ann Coulter is going after McCain for us!!
Romney will do better
than McCain.
Romney is the one we need to concern ourselves with. The neo-cons THEMSELVES have been and will continue to take down McCain.
we need Romney gone!!!!!
!!!!
??
Has anybody made a video about the polygamy in Romney's family?
Obama = O.ne B.ig A.ss M.istake A.merica
I'm one...
I'm a polygamist! If you have a problem with it.... sorry bud!
Part of my reason for fighting for RP is to hopefully also gain the freedom to practice my religion without being thrown into JAIL by people like you that think my way is not as good or "acceptable" as yours,
I would have thought that a Ron Paul supporter could see the value in such liberty and freedom of religion... but again I am sadly surprised by some peoples abilities to turn a blind eye to persecutions against other peoples beliefs that don't seem to threaten themselves. That's how this whole mess got started! By denying one groups rights to practice religion the way they see fit, you begin to slide down the slope... and sooner or later, your OWN beliefs are threatened!
I don't ask you to agree, just allow me the freedom to worship how I may! I grant the same to you.
Phht! As if "polygamy" is some hugely, horrendous crime?! If you are a christian (as most people that fight against my right to my religion seem to call themselves) you may want to read some Old Testament some time... all those early prophets that you say that you revere were mostly polygamists... or, worse yet, had many... MANY concubines! Yeah that Abraham guy was sure a loser wasn't he?
How about drop your predjudice and go and read/learn something!
I could care less if you devil worship...
As long as you vote Ron Paul.... I have always wondered *why* people give a damn about what other people do with their lives.... but then again the religeous right ALWAYS plays a major game in politics even though there is suppose to be seperation of churce and state...
frankly I *like* the idea of devil worship.... FALL ON YOUR FEET!
you are right...
we have to educate the people...good of you to keep your cool and just inform and remind everybody why we are here
its 'cos I owe ya, my young friend...
Rockin' the FREE world in Tennessee since 1957!
Go qizo!!!
I think I know you....and am glad to see you are supporting Ron Paul. Religious liberty for all is, not just for narrow-minded bigots. No one should ever be incarcerated for practicing their religion or for having a loving family. Ever.
RP2012!
His family is not running
He is.
What is worse Polygamy in you family history or years of racist remarks made in your name?
exactly
we don't need to resort to the kind of politics we protest against when they are used on OUR guy.
We are better and bigger than that.
