What is the Ron Paul Movement?
Folks, get this straight we are more than we appear to be.
We have money and the ability to raise it and the track record of being able to raise it.
We have 106,000 Meetup members and are growing at a rate of 500 a day.
We have about 150,000 unique donors.
We have big shots and little shots.
We have republicans, democrats, libertarians, anarchists and everyone else who isn't anything.
We have two dozen websites that get millions of hits per month.
We have a broad, sweeping agenda that a fabulously varied membership agree on...completely.
and of course, we want it more then they do.
So what are we? A political campaign?
Bullshit!
We are a lobby. We are bristling with our own PAC's and most importantly........we are pissed.
This campaign stuff is expensive. When we can focus the dough on DC lobbying with out and out bender phone, mail and rally efforts for freedom do you know what? The politicians will listen.
Why?
We unseat a couple of the bastards...start pickin'em off like ducks on a pond.
"This the freedom pac calling? We were thinking of funding a candidate to run against senator Dipstick"
"Senator Dipstick will be right with you!"
"This is Senator Dipstick speaking, How would you like me to vote?"
It's a system....use it.
If any of you has ever tried to get anwyhere
with a senator or congressman, you know what I am talking about.
Yes, we will need to unseat a couple, but, once we have done that we can get the other cowards to heel in short order.
The only way to get a congressman's attention is with job security.The big corporations have been doing this for decades.
These politicians have been watching us, you know. They have seen the money that has come in and they have watched the media hose us down.
When I call my senator after November I am going to use the size and success of this movement to scare him. It is too bad, but, it is how it works and it is the best way to get what we want. If you can scare a senator out of voting for something like the Patriot Act we can avoid the time and money involved in running someone against him.
It's our weird system....use it.

Bigger than just a campaign
This campaign has brought together hundreds of thousands of freedom-loving people. Our movement must continue unabated, regardless of the result of the Ron Paul campaign. They can't hold us down forever.
