Lexington MA HS Election - Paul off, Nader on the ballot
My daughter came home from Lexington MA high school, said they had mock presidential elections there today. She was for Ron Paul (and has converted few other kids within last few days), but Ron Paul wasn't on the ballot. She asked teacher why is Ron Paul omitted when is running. Teacher looked surprised, sad she had no idea why. So my daughter insisted to find out who made the ballots and teacher sent her to librarian. The librarian lady denied she did it and sent her off to another office, then few hops later, as others denied it as well, she eventually came back to the librarian again.
The librarian said, well yes, the library did make the ballots and the reason Ron Paul wasn't on is because he is not a "major candidate." My daughter reminded her about his placement in Nevada, Louisiana, Maine, Q4 fundraising, Giuliani,... and finally she asked her on what basis is Ralph Nader, who was on the HS ballot, more major, or a candidate at all, than Ron Paul. The librarian told her, well just write in Ron Paul if you wish, and then sent her out without answering the question.
I think that librarian "lady" has created the a little squad of new Ron Paul revolutionaries today. Thanks.

I will call the librarian
I will call the librarian tomorrow to ask as well. Although I knew my daughter was a black belt in the arts of arguing with grownups, it still surprised me how she persisted after them, then cornered finally the librarian and made a fool out of her by pulling together all the facts that I may have mentioned at most briefly at the dinner table to my wife.
Conan?
if its Conan the librarian, I wouldn't mess around...

Call Lexington H S and demand the librarian be fired!
I tried calling the Lexington High School to complain about Ron Paul being left off their ballot but they don't answer the phone after 4:00 p.m.
I suggest that you and all your friends join my tomorrow morning by calling the school and demanding that the librarian be fired! The phone number to call is 781.861.2320 then 0 to get to the main office. I've got over 300 people on my mailing list. They are ALL going to get this same message.
What a crock of bull this is!
"What have you done for Ron Paul today"?
"What have you done for Ron Paul today"?
Don't forget to remind us tomorrow....
.
Go slap the librarian

Tell the newspaper!
Tell the local newspaper for crying out loud. Perfect example of tyranny.

These kids today pobaly more than ever understand fairness. All their young lives are completely oppressive from all sides. I truely think that it is the hypocracy they face everyday that drives them to violent and even deadly outbreak or shall i say blowback.

Another advertisement for Homeschooling
Good to hear she pushed for her answers, even if she, like so many of us, was denied. Just goes to show you, if you don't teach your children yourself, someone else is going to and you may not like what they learn. Well done though.

I agree - Homeschooling - Read "A Thomas Jefferson Education"
and get to work. There is a companion book that goes with it too.
I am extremely proud of this student - knowing more than the teachers.
So, I guess I'll say, supplement her education as recommended in the books but keep her in school to continue to monitor and teach others. This student is definitely a leader!
I've been mentoring my Granddaughter and she is not only teaching other students, she is teaching the teacher!
She was to do a report on a "global" issue. I arrived just in time to have her search the internet for New World Order. Bet everyone learned that day!!!!!
We MUST do better for our kids than the govt education!!!
