The demise of a presumed front-runner is all too common in the race for the Whitehouse, but rarely is its reason due to such an obvious strategic mistake on the part of the candidate. So epic was the failure of Rudy Giuliani’s bid for the republican nomination that it will go down as one of the greatest blunders in the history of the presidential primary process.

I tend to think it was the 9/11 truthers who stuck it to rudy and those firemen who told the world: "rudy doesn't care about us; he refused to give us heath care."

And, do you remember those articles which suggested that "rudy spent more time going to baseball games than going to ground zero?"
