Huckabee's taking the south, and Mitt Romney has 4 delegates right now. McCain isn't even going to come close to the 1,191 delegates necessary to secure the nomination.
They do not even want to utter the words, "BROKERED CONVENTION!"
The topper should be when Romney wins California and REALLY messes things up.

Considering the media-wide blackout from Day One, the outright bashing, the false reports of dropping out, the non-reporting of the numbers of attendees at rallies and superior fundraising, etc etc etc and then add to this local shenanigans such as LA throwing your vote out or worse yet, being told HE IS NOT ON THE BALLOT, I think he is doing well.

It would be nice to see Ron Paul win it outright and America to wake up, but this is the next best thing. I think we can change the minds a few thousand delegates compared to millions of sleeping Republicans.
But the RP people gave Huckabee the win in WV for no reason
I explicitly warned the WV people, via posting here 8 hours ago, NOT to give their votes to Huckabee over Romney.
Romney won't broker a deal in two months with McCain.
Huckabee WILL broker a deal with McCain.
Huckabee's wins today are really McCain wins.
Romney's loss today is our loss for that reason. It means no brokered convention unless Huckabee can get a spine and NOT deal with McCain.
Heck, the naive RP people should have known that the McCain people were doing the same thing which could only mean, logically, that the RP people needed to go with Romney (because the McCain people clearly thought that a Huckabee win in WV was in their interest).
Game theory...Chess...the campaign needs to explain this kind of stuff to supporters who go to Caucus.

In April, Huckabee will have 250 delegates that McCain needs
McCain will broker a deal where EVANGELICALS are promised dozens of posts in the McCain administration. Huckabee will be considered a hero for giving his delegates away at a high price.
Then, what KT is saying below would become a reality. We would be locked out and the convention will be a mess but not "brokered". Huckabee cannot be trusted to bring this to a brokered convention.
We can make the convention as loud as we want, but if McCain/Huckabee has 1192 delegates, it will be over before it starts. The media will say so much in April.
Then we would have a choice:
1) not vote for the Republican nominee
2) not vote for the Republican nominee but have someone else who could get maybe 25% of the vote and beat McCain in the general (but not beat Obama or Clinton).
At this point, the Republican Party will be destroyed as we once knew it. It would have to be rebuilt from the bottom up.
That said, it is possible that Huckabee will NOT make a deal with McCain in which case things could get interesting.
But I really doubt that Huckabee will not make a deal.
BOTTOM LINE: WHEN HUCKABEE MAKES A DEAL WITH MCCAIN, RUSH LIMBAUGH WILL BECOME RIGHT: THE REPUBLICAN PARTY WILL BE DESTROYED.

I don't know about you, but I came back to the Republican Party only to vote for Ron Paul. Otherwise I gave the Republican party up for dead years ago as well as the Democratic one. I'm hoping they both crash and burn someday, or put good people like Ron Paul in charge again.

Clearly those in power in the Republican Party hate him. Even if you get multiple rounds of voting at the Convention, what are the odds that Ron Paul would get the nod? McCain and Romney consistently laugh at his foreign policy assessment. They are war mongers and are not going to lend any support to him even if they can't have the nomination, so that makes Huckabee a much more likely beneficiary of a brokered convention, and in reality, it is more likely that Huckabee and McCain team up like they did in West Virginia to make a McCain/Huckabee ticket. After all, Huckabee and McCain are not much different.

I think the idea is that more and more people understand what is happening in the US every day and by the time the convention rolls around, they will be smarter and also the speeches at the convention will sway people.
Just talked to a banker at length today who did not know what was going on in spite of his best friends daily emails to him. But he wanted to look in the know to me so when I gave him a card, he said he knew a lot about him. Then he started asking me questions and I told him all I could. He questioned for a good 15 to 20 minutes. When his friend emails him again, I'll bet he reads it and takes it to heart. That is why I lay the groundwork even when I feel resistance. Because before you know it, they will hear more and say, oh yah that is what that other person said. Start getting into the understanding of it and then start to spread the word.
