For All Those Who Want Ron Paul To Run As a Third Party..............

0 votes

In 1992, Ross Perot won 8% of the vote. How much did it cost him? It cost Perot 60 million dollars!!!!!!!!!!

I repeat, Perot spent 60 Million of his own money!!!!! 60 Million!!!!!!

You think Ron Paul can come up with 60 million??

I didnt think so......

Ron Paul Will Not Be Running Third Party. Peroid. End Of Story.

This is different

We have an amazing infrastructure of support. Imagine if the precinct leader program was established 12 months ago. Imagine if Perot had the internet to communicate to his supporters to effectively run an organized, effective grassroots campaign.

Regardless of what is going to happen, I hope the official campaign makes a clear decision VERY SOON. Right now, time is on our side. We have the resources and time to make a difference. But it will take a lot of time, and if we wait until late summer to start the next phase, it will be too late.

The history of 3rd party runs has not been good...

The best run ever, at least in modern history, was Teddy Roosevelt's 2nd place finish, behind Woodrow Wilson and ahead of incumbent President Taft. Since Roosevelt had already been a President under the Republican Party, he had a solid chance.

If people think Dr. Paul was ignored in these primaries, you ain't seen nothin' yet. Given an excited but in the end minor showing in this race, he will be completely ignored if he launches a third party run. He won't be invited to debates and won't be talked about. He will remain invisible.

The only caveat I have regarding Perot's run was that, if you recall, he self-destructed mentally toward the end of the race and dropped like a rock from his original, and quite respectable, 20 or more percent at the top.

Perot ran in 1992 and won 19% of the vote

He was polling at 25% before spending a dime of his own money. He dropped stupidly, in July of 1992 and reentered on October 1.

HE STILL GOT 19%

Yep

All this shit about 3rd party and brokered conventions is just people struggling to deal with reality.

Brokered Convention ...YES! Absolutely YES!

Ross Perot didnt run in 1988

Get your facts straight.

Then get busy getting Ron Paul on the ballot as a 3rd party candidate.

www.ronpaulrising.com !!

SIgn the petition!

It says 1992

not 1988. Unless he did an edit.

Perot got 8% in 1996 and 19% in 1992 - no electoral votes in either contest. I don't have any sources on how much money he spent, but it was massive for what he got.

everyone please, do as I am...

....and FLAG every single post and/or topic like this one about going 3rd party. They are OFFENSIVE, as well as DEFEATIST!!

cut it out

go join an HOA if you want to tell other people what to do

ronpaulrevolution

Thank you. It was 1992 and 1996. I've been around for too many campaigns. ;)

And once again, where is Ron Paul going to come up with 60 million?
