Super Tuesday: Explained. The Revolution: Realized. People fear the REVOLUTION.

0 votes

Friends,

I've been thinking all day about Super Tuesday and how it relates to the Revolution. Did we expect to win a state? Some of did, some of us didn't. We can all sit here and play Monday Morning Quarterback, but we have to look at the broader picture here.

I have made a list of things I've been thinking about and I want to get everyones opinion on my ideas.

1) We virtually went from zero support when RP first started, to the support we have now.

Look at some of the other candidates. Tom Tancredo, Kucinich, Duncan Hunter. They were all in the same catagory as RP (Basically Unheard-Of's) Ron Paul has exceeded thier support hundreds if not hundreds of thousands of fold.

2) Hillary has Bill, Obama has Oprah, McCain has several failed presidental campaigns under his belt and numerous photo ops in Iraq. Romney has money and corporate interests. Huck has Chuck (and the evangelicals) What is something that Ron Paul has that all of the rest of these guys (and gals.. no offence Mitt but your more feminine than hilary) dont have? Easy: Real People. Thinking People. People who live life, People that don't live in a fairy tale world. People who want this country to return to its roots.

3) So why are people so afraid of this country returning to thier roots? Easy. Look at Ron Pauls platform. Lets say Ron Paul had the title of President before his name.

A) No IRS - If there is no IRS, what is the need for accountants, tax professionals, HR block, all the advertising revenues all the media makes off of companies like HR block, would there be a need for tax attorneys, would corporations need massive accounting departments? These professions are just the tip of the iceberg... These peoples professions are professions that I've personally refered to in the past as "Paracite Jobs". They're paracitical in the sense that they rely solely on the IRS being in business to make thier money to provide for thier family.

B) No department of education - As someone who has worked for a college campus, went to a public state college, high school and a private high school. I must say that I learned more at my Private High School than I ever did in the Public Federal & State funded schools I attended. My parent (single mom) had much more say so in my education than she did while I was in the public school system.

I had maybe one or two teachers in my Public High School career, so to say, that made a life long impact on me(and we still keep in contact), and consequently, they are part of the revolution and staunch Ron Paul supporters.

Getting back to my main point. The federal government mandates so many unneccesary programs in the education system and the parents have little or no say so in their childs education. If you think about it. How could status quo maintain thier grip on the next generation if they can't indoctrinate them with what they want them to know. The government tells the kids what they need to know, and they have NO FREEDOM whatsoever to pursue the knowledge they need and desire. Several years ago in high school, I stood up to my social studies teacher, after he said the Civil war was about Slavery. I raised my hand, told him he wrong, and cited my source, and corrected him and told him that the civil war was about states rights. It ended up being a heated discussion where I was told to shut up and only study what was in my textbook.

Infact, my book that I was reading infact said that Abraham Lincoln was somewhat infavor of slavery. (If you don't believe me, I will show you the book... In college, I later realized I was right after having my professor back me up on my arguement) Yet, our history propaganda books don't tell us that. The government tells us what they want us to know... not the truth

3) Media... The dreaded MSM.... Tell me one thing.. Did the RP Newsletters story get more coverage than RP drawing in nearly 5,000 ppl to a philadelphia rally. Or did it get more coverage than RP receiving more military donations than any other candidate. I'll tell you this right now... If McInsane had gotten the most military donations.. Fox News would never let the American people hear the end of it. Plainly put, the media would be bored to death with a Ron Paul Presidency because the media today is largely comprised of Yellow Journalists who only are out to get ratings. A President who actually does what hes supposed to do, and help our country, and not hurt it.. is the reason why networks like MSNBC (and Keith Olbermann) would be out of business. They'd have nothing to bitch about.

4) Ending the Drug War. - This idea terrifies people. Why? They think if the drug war is ended, that a bunch of stoned individuals will be out and bout harassing people and doing drugs on the streets. Newsflash... They do it already and have been for a really long time.

Inpart.. America as a whole likes to talk the talk, but not walk the walk. They're complacent with a war going on in Iraq because it appears to help our security. They're complacent with the IRS taking our money, because they feel that the government needs it to operate. They're complacent with working parasite jobs that the system produces for you.. If we had a Free Market, do you realize how many people would actually be required to have some sort of talent in life, rather than getting a piece of paper at an accreditted institution saying you know enough about a subject to do it. Friends, I'm sorry. I went to college, and after 4 years, I don't feel any smarter and I could have done the job im doing now without even going to college. College isn't about Job Training, its about making you a more well rounded person. The way to get a government job is to go to college.

If we had a Free Market, as I was saying before I started Ranting...People would be forced to think and innovate, not conform.

We're dealing with a soceity here in America that is okay with whatever happens, as long as it doesnt happen to them. Dr. Paul cured my Apathy, but like some diseases, such as cancer that is consuming this country, some diseases can't be cured.

Am I going to run around and scare people and tell them WW3 is on the horizons, or to stock up on food, or do this or do that? No, Im not. Why? Because heres the thing, it doesnt matter. You tell people the truth, they think your crazy. Errie reminder of the book 1984. It's a sad day in America when the Truth sounds like a Lie, and lies sound like the truth.

We can all sit here and point fingers, moap, cry, pout, whine... But Ron paul is doing his job... He's raising awareness. He's an Agent of Change. He's stood up the machine. He's done what alot of can not do. For that, I will always respect him, and put him in the same class of individuals such as Martin Luther King Jr.

I know this was lengthy, but I have to stop now, because I doubt most of you have made it this far down anyways and I could type for days.

God Bless all of you guys! Long Live the Revolution! (and forgive my typos and poor grammar)

Agreed

I am grief stricken everytime I think about the mess we are making for our children, who are not even given the tools they need to think for themselves!

I thank God we still have an uncensored internet where they can learn the truth.... but for how long?

Dr. Ron Paul is my HERO!

Excellent post

* cancer* can be reversed with proper nutrition. Alternative medicine can reverse cancers/tumors/any disease, with proper nutrition most any "disease" have been reversed by many naturopaths. But you won't hear that in MSM. Hospitals would go out of business.

taheebo tea

flaxseedoil and cottagecheese (organic)

vitamins, raw diet, wheatgrass etc...

True True

And we could do without the gov't mandated medical machine too!

For Liberty!

For Liberty!

Well the message isn't broke...

but the presentation may be.

Some people fear the

Some people fear the revelution becase the current system has them by the balls and they do not want to undertake the responsibility of a broke system and have to fix it.

Bravo!

Well said!! I disliked my public education and my college degree gave me more information on the system and how to not run a business. All the talk of making profits for the shareholders made me sick, there was no concern for the customer. Marketing I absolutely hated, which ties to my avoidance of commercial for many many years.

I'm glad that there are more people waking up to the trouble we are in and I'm overjoyed that Ron Paul has agreed to take the fight from congress to the people, for we have the power to make a change if we stay true to the course and don't give up, We've come a long ways, but we still have further to go and more to learn. We have more people that we need to teach to as well, at least those that are willing to learn.

I knew the rabbit hole was deep, but I didn't know how deep. It's a doozey! I'm also glad that I'm getting a better understanding of the election process. (Is there a way to simplify it?)

I did make it all the way through your post :) Long live the revolution!!

Very well said....

I think RP would open more eyes of new fans if he were to slow down and explain these things through. He is so far above the rest of us in political terms, law, instances (ie. Gulf of Tonkin), that he starts talking and he looses the audiences attention. Their kinda only picking up every third word, then the other candidates slam him and then weve lost the listener. Most people that are concerned citizens have taken the effort to investigate and read. Reading at their own speed, digesting the information then siding with RP. But to reach out and grab an audience requires talking them through the issues. When you attend or watch a rally, I would say 3/4 of the croud are already tuned in, so they can follow along.

I think a new approach to grabbing larger audience attention, is to ask them what they believe in. Then tell them the solution.

Example-

RP- Who out there is tired of paying income taxes?

Aud- Me (big cheer)

RP- Who out there believes in the Constitution?

Aud- Me (big cheer)

RP- Who out there believes that corrupt politicians have abondoned the Constution?

Aud- Me (big cheer)

RP- And you are right. The politicains have abondoned the Constitution. It clearly says no tax on labor. Our fore fathers who wrote the Constution already new this was wrong. But a dirty politican and a couple of corrupt bankers ammended this Right. If I were to give you my word that I would remove the income tax and only lead by way of the Constitution would you vote for me?

Aud- Yes (big big cheer)

RP- Ok then, Im your man. Next issue......

Understandable

I think Ron goes over what he has to say in the debates much more quickly than he does in interviews... Simply put... Ron might talk for 5 mins in a 2 hour debate, but if look at his 5 mins compared to Romneys 30 mins... He's said alot more than Romney said in 30. RP knows he's going to be snubbed in debates and i think thats why he moves so quickly. In television and radio interviews, I've noticed he makes it easy to understand his platform better than he does in the debates.

Thank you

for posting this....

slight EDITING suggestion....

GREAT letter, and I am saving it to a Word-file for as much distribution as I can possibly muster!!

Only thing that strikes me as something we all SHOULD correct is this paragraph....

It needs to be corrected to....

A) No IRS - If there is no IRS, what is the need for accountants, tax professionals, H & R Block, all the advertising revenues the media makes off of companies like H & R Block? Would there be a need for tax attorneys, and would corporations need massive accounting departments? These professions are just the tip of the iceberg... These people's professions are professions that I've personally referred to in the past as "Parasite Jobs." They're parasitic in the sense that they rely solely on the IRS being in business to make money to provide for their families.

(There may be more, but that one just received more than a half-dozen corrections.) You're welcome ;-)

CPA here

As a CPA studying to become a CPA, I did it for ideal purposes. To keep a set of books and instruct a company of the direction to go. NOT for tax purposes. Then as usualy, my ideals burst and I realized life is no fun. Accountants would get to be idealists again. It would be wonderful. We could invest for growth instead of borrowing. An accounting department is not parasitic, it is necessary ideally or for IRS.

Most of my family are CPA's

I work for one of the largest companies(Yeah, im a sellout.. boo) in the world and the floor above me in my office building we have a floor full of nothing but payroll people and accounting and the microdepartment above that. Think how easy Payroll would be for a company. You just give the people thier money and not have to worry about taxes and not worry about reporting to the government etc etc. I am in favor of taxing income, not wages and yes, Bookeeping would be much easier and this would actually save the company some money. I did go on a tangent there, but your input is valued. Thanks!

Thanks

Speaking of Education, I'm from Kentucky which is ranked 47th nationwide.. haha That explains my terrible grammar =)

good post

But I believe that when RP talks about eliminating the IRS, he is really talking about eliminating the individual income tax. I have not heard anything about eliminating business taxes? Has anyone heard otherwise. If that was the case we would still need accounting departments.

Yes

I believe.. income tax.. not corporate taxes.
Correct me if I am wrong.
Thank you for the posting.

FairTax

Of course FairTax eliminates corporate income tax also. I thought Dr. Paul was saying that too and it would be far, far better if he is, but I don't know. Eliminating business income tax is what takes the prices down and brings our jobs back to our shores. We need that badly. FairTax is a wonderful system, but Dr. Paul's is better. I hope he means business income tax also.

Profits taxed, but not personal income

I believe that's in line with the constitution.

For Liberty!

For Liberty!

Amen!

Amen!

Well said

Your commentary is exactly on point! Well said =)

Great post!

The only thing I could possibly add is that people are afraid of change in general. Afraid of the unknown and unfamilar. I think that largely contributes to your #4.

The lesser of two evils is still evil!

"The federal government has no right to treat all Americans as criminals by spying on their relationship with their doctors, employers, or bankers."
-Ron Paul

thank you, he is my hero and

thank you, he is my hero and i have never had one !

Thanks

I really enjoyed this. It was an eye-opener.

BUMP and Kudos

I've been thinking the same things and think you're dead on. I actually think that most people really ARE that shallow and short-sighted. I've always said that the people who would really be hurt by the Revolution would be the incompetent, and the parasites. Now I have to edit that to include those who know better and still choose their comfort zone over something that could be far, far, better. The good news is that the sheep usually follow those already in control, so when the Revolution gets a real good foothold, we'll be able to slowly educate them. (Basically, we'll save their sorry asses along with our own!) Thanks for a great article.

Truth is treason in an empire of lies.

Great read

Hold on to that splendid piece of composition.

Exactly

Near and dear to me is this issue:

"The federal government mandates so many unneccesary programs in the education system and the parents have little or no say so in their childs education."

This is your UN talking, as they just about run the schools toward making us 'world subjects' under the Earth Charter and Agenda 21.

You MUST fight the revolution at the local level -- defeat taxes, global warming scam, and the UN schools, we have over 600 of them in our country already, did you know this? (They are called IB schools, www.ibo.org and their REAL agenda is to propagandize our culture, history and loyalties so children will grow up only knowing about the 'world government')

Think globally, act locally is an oft heard phrase. Time WE started doing this too! I have been for over 20 years. What are YOU doing?

Hint: If you are so opposed to working with your local GOP, then join your local TAXPAYER advocacy group. If you don't have one, start one. It's an all-encompassing, non-partisan, but FISCALLY conservative way to fight this stuff, with like-minded. The government that has no more of your money can do less harm.

Good Thread

I enjoyed reading it.

And the powers that be think

And the powers that be think that once we get past this election and we have another puppet President that all will be forgotten as usual and we , meaning the RP followers will fall back into the woodwork, Then they can sigh a huge sigh of relief. Little do they know that this time it's different and we will not go away like good little children and follow their lead. At least I hope not.

I read your whole post

Job well done,

thanks for breaking down the issues, now can you send it to all the papers across the remaining states as letters to the editor? We need more people in the media and if people send their posts to actual newspapers it would be a big boost in the american concious.

Great Idea!

Send a copy of this letter as a "letter to the editor" to newspapers in the remaining states. Heck, send it to newspapers in all the states! This is well written, flows nicely, is a topic of current interest, and is an enjoyable read. An ideal "letter to the editor!"
