regarding FORMER candidates... please read
Do I need to remind everyone here that as candidates drop out, their former supporters will be looking for a new campaign to join?
Remember this! Just because you may think that Romney or Giuliani or Thompson or whoever WAS A BUM, that does not mean that their supporters are bums. It also does not mean that their supporters were idiots to have once supported one of these other candidates.
The whole theme of the campaign for the Republican nomination this election cycle is that people are still searching for the right guy. We are confident that when voters hear RP's message they will finally find what they are looking for. We know that the media has censored him. That means that all these voters out there who no longer have a candidate, probably still have not heard RP. So educate them BUT DON'T LECTURE THEM, DON'T BADGER THEM, DON'T RIDICULE THEM. Just be nice and courteous and let Dr. Paul's message speak for itself.
Special memo to the (small vocal minority) conspiracy theorist. Your 911, chemtrail, (insert your out-of-the-main-stream pet project here) conspiracy rants do nothing good for RP. Keep it to yourself or talk about it on some "truther" forum. Just work hard to get RP elected and then HE WILL AIR OUT all the govt's dirty laundry. Can you bite your tongue until then? Please?
Oh...and for you new people here (aka former Romney supporters)... WELCOME! join the conversation. just disregard the occasional jerk that posts something RP himself would not approve of. AND, don't be afraid to ask for info. that is one thing we have plenty of.

Real conservatives are scratching their heads... McLame? WTF!
Great time to convert and spread the message. Ron Paul is the ONLY TRUE conservative in the race.

Former candidates supporters aren't the treasure trove you think
Those candidates dropped out because they didn't have enough strong supporters. Guiliani was getting 2-5% outside of Florida. Thompson struggled to reach double digits even in his home region. Most voters are only weakly tied to a candidate, so if a pollster pushes them to commit and they say Guiliani one week, then he drops out, and the next week they are pushed and say McCain, it's not like they had a revelation or actively decided McCain was the best alternative.
Of course we should always be respectful, but don't think that there are millions of Romney supporters making up their minds right now. Fact is that very few people really supported Romney, but TV ads bought votes and fear of McCain bought more votes. What you really have are millions of people who barely pay attention to the campaign, who will make up their minds when it's time to vote or won't vote at all. Keep that in mind when trying to reach them to vote for Paul.
half true...
maybe a lot of the romney support was not "strong" but he is not the same as giuliani and the rest. he managed a ton of votes. it does not matter if they were pro-romney votes or anti-mccain votes. in fact it might be best if they were anti-mccain votes b/c these people were so motivated by their dislike of mccain that they went out and voted. (versus the apathetic voter who stays home b/c he does not like the frontrunner). RP is anti-mccain in every way. should be a great opportunity to get some new votes. i have to tell you that in my city, romney had a lot of support and picked up a lot of delegates to the state convention. i will do my best to inform them of RP's positions so that they consider voting for him.
Ron Paul is ever Courteous
We should be too.
We have no adversaries such as ourselves if we do not welcome the growth of the movement.
Well said. We should not be
Well said. We should not be an exclusive club at the detriment of excluding people who might get involved.
Rock on wdosmer
I couldn't have said it better myself
