New Ron Paul DVD Idea
Here is my idea for a more effective Ron Paul DVD. I’m not a large fan of the ronpauldvd.com DVD; it has good clips, but is not captivating for the non-political types. Please give me your input. We need to reach the non-youTube world with Dr. Paul’s message!
Label: Who is Ron Paul? (will spark curiosity)
I. Nice navigation menu with American flag and rEVOLution logo
II. Feature presentation
a. Approximately 30 minutes long
b. Needs to captivate audience and give overview
c. I have already created a feature by meshing together a few of the best youTube clips
III. Presidential Exploratory Committee Announcement
IV. Debate Highlights
a. Will feature all debates (clips found on the official campaign site)
V. Ron Paul on the issues
a. Have a section where user can scroll to the issues they are interested in
b. Which issues should I cover, the ones listed on the campaign website?
VI. How to get involved
a. A clip on how to register to vote and primary dates
b. A clip featuring web links and meetup.com info
These are just some of my ideas for a new Ron Paul DVD. We need something exciting and more captivating! Let’s do this together: please let me know what I should put on the DVD in order reach more people. We can upload the file online for people to download, burn, and distribute. Maybe we can find someone to mass-produce it.
Some of the ideas that I've seen on the forum are to give copy's to family, business owners, church congregations, corner stores (gas stations), pass them out on campus, offer to mail them to people, e.t.c.

Good idea
I also wasn't impressed by the available Ron Paul DVDs. Let me share what I did, so others can improve on it.
I've been working on a DVD, and will release it to bittorrent within 2 days, as I am nearly finished. Also, I will be burning several hundred copies to hand out at the mall.
Anyway, the main feature of this DVD is "A Man for All Seasons". Search for it on google video. It's 45 minutes long and is probably the best introduction to Ron Paul out there, in my opinion. It's organized into a few titled sections and flows well from one issue to another.
The author provided a link to get a high res copy, so I used that for the DVD. I created some very nice menus. They are nice to look at, easy to navigate, and of course no grammatical or spelling errors, which kills a lot of well intended projects.
The menu contains 3 other sections besides the main feature. There is the chapters menu of course, which links to the sections already in the video. Then there's the "Extras" section. This includes 14 videos that you can find on Youtube. For the majority of these videos, I was able to obtain a high resolution copy from the author. Then there is a 4th section called "Music Videos". This contains 12 Ron Paul music videos, also mostly high res versions. 11 of the songs are actually about Ron Paul, while one is not specifically about Ron Paul (it is the Evanescence video).
A few of the videos needed some editing and tweaking to fix some minor issues like sound track synchronization, so it was a bit of work to get done.
I have a version 1 of this on Bittorrent already, but it was just a first try, and will be replaced tonight or tomorrow with the final version. I'll post again when it is ready so you can get it and use it if you want.
Re: I need a DVD
I need a DVD to hand to parents of children coming to my door on Halloween. The kids can go to the front door and get candy from my wife. I want to stand on the sidewalk and hand out DVDs to the parent.

I'm almost finished...just
I'm almost finished...just trying to polish it up. We need a way to distribute this DVD to the different groups. I was thinking about selling copies on ebay at cost because I don't know how to set up a website. Any more ideas for the DVD's content?
