All this concern for Dr. Paul's house seat really bugs me

It bugs me because, whether intended to or not, demonstrates a certain lack of dedication to the presidential race. I for one do not see this race as a mere educational tour for conservatives to re-learn what it means to be a conservative. I see this as an attempt at WINNING the presidency. All this concern for Paul's seat splits our attention. We are already facing an uphill battle, and we seem to making that grade steeper by talking about Paul's house seat.

Ron must keep his seat, it is important. He is allowed to win both elections, you know.

Why dont you call his congressional campaign staff and supporters and tell them, thanks for fighting to keep Ron in office every 2 years for the last 10+ years... but this year, please stop.

Instead, why dont you show some gratitude for the people who believed in Dr. No way before you (very likely?) ever heard of him... and make a donation!

IMO, Dr. Paul CAN and MUST win as a 3rd party candidate...

if it becomes a race between Billary and McShame. There are tens of millions of people right now who would not vote for either of them. By November, tens of millions more will know the truth, and will join the r3VOLution.

I love Dr. Paul, and he has played a very important role in congress as the lone voice of reason, but as one of 535 he can do very little. We need him in the Oval Office. We have no more time to waste. This country will be in ruins in a couple of years if anyone else is elected.

I guess, so far, I am the

I guess, so far, I am the only one who agrees with you, but I also see RP's and the others' point. His actions show us that even HE thinks he has no chance, and with what goes on, that is probably true. I think, however, he should go "all guns" for the Presidency. He could run for another seat in a couple of years.

I have seen no lack of desire on his part to be president.

He has done more than most candidates, it just doesn't seem like it because he has been thrown into the Dungeon of Truth...that shadowy place out of the limelight to pretend he isn't there.

I really think the CPAC video is the KEY to waking people up. We need to post that on every website possible, complete with Bob Barr's introduction!

In very few words, post something like, "The Real Republican Running for President" or "The Campaign Behind the Scenes" on craigslist's Rant and Rave/Political sections, then provide the link. I wouldn't waste any time writing anything else.

In the comment areas of news stories, post the link to the CPAC video. Let people stumble upon it.

Go! Do it now. While the media is busy talking about how McCain can't rally the troops.

He should run...

...for a Senate seat as soon as the right opportunity presents itself.

In Congress he's 1 vote out of 500+... 1 Senate vote is much more powerful.

Which states would be his best chance?

I think it is very prudent thinking.

If your are in a battle it would seem you have to fight on many fronts. If we are over run we will still have an exit strategy for Dr. Paul. You don't put all your eggs in one basket. If he doesn't win as president but gets his seat back we can continue to help get other Ron Paul candidates elected. Just think about it rather than Ron being the only No vote there were 12 no votes then 24 no votes. Get it.

like it or not there is

like it or not there is pretty much no chance of that left. The media won't acknowledge RP and we have not even won a state yet. Mccain only needs to win a couple more states and he's got the nomination. Like it or not most people refuse to take the time to vote for someone who they don't see as having any chance. Thus most romney people will begrudgingly side with mccain. A third party run would be a complete waste of time and money because then there would be a true media blackout and he would have to give up trying to bring the republican party back to true conservativism. If he switches parties he will for sure loose his house seat and thus there will only be neocons left.

No it doesn't. It's just

No it doesn't. It's just prudent to plan ahead. If we loose, so what. He's started something that can't be stopped. He could be the nucleus for a big win in the house on his platform. Don't be discouraged.
