Anyone that remembers Tucker Carlson's stand in, David Shuster, and how poorly he treated Dr. Paul 12/27/07 during this interview:

Shuster Suspended For "Pimped Out" Comment

NBC NEWS STATEMENT REGARDING CHELSEA CLINTON COMMENT:

On Thursday's "Tucker" on MSNBC, David Shuster, who was serving as guest-host of the program, made a comment about Chelsea Clinton and the Clinton campaign that was irresponsible and inappropriate. Shuster, who apologized this morning on MSNBC and will again this evening, has been suspended from appearing on all NBC News broadcasts, other than to make his apology. He has also extended an apology to the Clinton family. NBC News takes these matters seriously, and offers our sincere regrets to the Clintons for the remarks.

This little smart azz finally got spanked.

he's a jerk

David the pompus ass, didn't get his ass kicked enough by the other kids when he was in grade school.

Ron Paul's success is about speaking the truth not 'talking points'

anybody who critisize those

anybody who critisize those elite group will be silenced, may be we should call david shuster & ask him to join the revolution.

Suspended for stating a fact

Wow, can't believe that guy got suspended for saying on national television what I've been saying since Chelsea began stumping for Hillary. I guess I should watch what I say about her as well before somebody suspends me!

It is a bit different.

While I don't like the guy deriding Dr. P, the situations seem different to me.

Dr. P is a public figure and as such, is a target for opinion--even negative ones. Chelsea Clinton is largely a private citizen--even when she appears at her mother's events she never speaks--so it is more like Shuster attacking someone that is not in the public eye.

I think that may be where the line was--and of course MSNBC is going to go as close to the line as they legally can. Good judgment or good taste obviously doesn't play a part, just what they can get away with.

she spoke at my university

and then they vandalized the campus with Hillary signs on the way out.

Then Hillary spoke the next week.

I don't think that calling RP

" The Al Qaeda" of the Repuglican Party is getting close to the line. It is definately slanderous ,and was damaging.
Public hanging may be better than suspension, unless you mean suspension at the end of a rope...
I hate this guy,if you couldn't tell....

You all know

You can't insult the annointed Queens daughter like that what is wrong with all of you bow down and ask for forgivness MMWWWHHAHAHAHHa.

WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!

no this isn't a good

no this isn't a good thing.

think about it, he gets punished for his comments toward chelsea. but he calls ron paul a crack pot (or whatever his scathing remarks were) and that's fine? this isn't payback for ron.

don't get me wrong, he probably deserves it. but what he said about ron paul was far more condescending than the "pimped" comment about chelsea. i'm so tired of this crap. people get away with murder in their anti ron paul comments and it's somehow considered "conventional wisdom."

and sorry to ramble, but case in point: i was telling a coworker about ron paul yesterday. she laughed. the worst part? she said she never heard of him. but i told her i voted for ron on tuesday and she's holding back the laughter. i email her a pdf of rp's positions and she says "wow, why haven't i ever heard of him?" she then im's her boyfriend for his opinion, and he tells her "ron paul's a nutjob" without backing up his opinion with facts. immediately, she ends the conversation with me and doesn't want to hear anything else about him. every "nutjob" or "kook" comment immediately sways the public against ron - even if there's zero reasons behind the comment.

again, sorry for the long post. but i'm getting really pissed.

thanks for sharin the story

just proves the point that loaded labels are quite powerfully effective, even when there's nothing substantial behind them.

that's why they're used so often.

think of the word CHANGE for instance.
time and time again it's used.
time and time again it's lies.
time and time again it's effective.

the magic of memes

liberty is one of those words too.
so is love
so is revolution.

MSNBC phone #?

It is not 201 583-5000. I wrote to them after his egregious remarks about Dr. Paul. But we need to en masse demand an apology. How dare they aplogize for one and not the other!

Bravo!!

Much too late, however, for my satisfaction. The network still owes public apologies to Dr. Paul.

Ok..

But why are these folks not "banned" when they call Dr. Paul a KOOK and such???

HMMMMM????

COULD IT BE....... Clintons are SATAN??

No, just Clintonistas

The meaning of the term is obvious.

YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sent a blasting e-mail to Joe when he made the Ron Paul Al-Qieda comment. Finally, he has to pay for one of his remarks!

Shuster,

now that he is suspended, can take up Ron Paul's suggestion. Ron Paul suggested to Shuster that he should do some research before arguing about American history.

This just gets me SOOO mad.

This just gets me SOOO mad. Call Dr. Paul anything but a relative of a Clinton by marriage and all hell breaks loose. Grrrrr

We should send him a "Get Employed Soon" card.

That would be nice.

So Hillary wants to pull out

So Hillary wants to pull out of the MSNBC Feb 26th debate?

Great, let her. They could just replace her with Ron Paul. Paul Vs. Obama, it will just be an early start on the general election debates.

So what did he say?

Something about pimping out? Wtf?

Calling Ron Paul a crackpot was okay

David Schuster should have been suspended when he called Ron Paul a crackpot. I am glad that he is now suspended but he should have been stopped before it led to this. He should not be allowed to say these things on air. He is supposed to be a professional. This guy has a problem but it is ashame that it took this for someone to realize it. If he had been suspended after calling Ron Paul names, I am sure he would have never made this comment about Chelsea Clinton. The guy should go get some psychological help. We should let MSNBC know about this.

What this really shows

What this really shows is the power of the Clinton syndicate. People that cross the Clintons have a nasty way of suiciding themselves -- like shooting themselves in the head twice: http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/RANCHO/POLITICS/FOSTER_COV...

The Clinton Crime Machine ...

had him suspended. So what we already know our rulers can do anything they like.

Schuster is a fool.

He is enthralled with Obama and McCain. Hates Ron but apparently liked the blimp although he called RP followers "frightening."

Top 3 RP quotes from Schuster.

3) RP followers are firghtening and scary.

2) Decried RP for views on the tyrant Lincoln

1) Jokingly said RP was the al quaida of teh GOP.

hmm

i think it bothers me that he is suspended for this statement and did not receive any form of punishment for referring to ron paul as the "al queda wing of the republican party"
