CPAC 2008 CHAPTER EIGHT: Ron Paul Benefiting from Romney’s Withdrawal?

Yesterday, I reported:

I was told by some local Paul supporters that Romney’s staff turned their table in the exhibit hall over for Ron Paul’s use. According to one of of these supporters (his name tag read Kevin O), the guys at the Romney booth, who only had ten minutes advance notice that Mitt Romney was going to drop, are now planning to vote for Ron Paul.
It’s now a fact, as the photograph shows. They’ve got slim jims, but a 4X8 sign and a few rolls of stickers would help out quite a bit.

It’s more than just a booth. At last night’s Mother of All Parties and from just hanging out near the LP booth, I am hearing more and more former Romney supporters starting to support Ron Paul.

Not if all the whipper snappers on here keep being jerks

Romney supporters are feeling wounded and looking for a new place to call home...over the last two days many have posted here, introducing themselves only to have their posts followed up sneers and being called a troll.

Not all RP replies were negative. In fact most were positive but a few RP supporters posted replies that came off rude and some were downright hateful...a few hot headed people are saying negative things and guess what...*POOF*...there goes any Romney supports just because of a few jerks.

To those posters who insult Romney or Romney supporters, ask yourself: How would Ron Paul respond to the supporters that Romney "left behind"? Would he embrace them or be a jerk?"

Everybody here believes in Ron Paul....we talk the talk and walk the walk. But a few RP supports believe in RP but skew his message with their own negative bull5hit and it's turning me off [and I'm a devout RP'er] so imagine what the wounded, left-behind, newcomers must think!

My mother used to always say, "If you don't have nothing nice to say the don't say anything at all". I see Ron Paul follows that philosophy because you NEVER see RP bashing others....so if you want to help RP win over the Romney voters realize that the negativity is actually hurting RP [which makes you the troll] and take it someplace else...please

Well said

Awesome

Great news.

A good video for Latter Day Saints

I found this Youtube buried in another post, and feel it would be a good one to show Romney supporters that may join us, or any of our friends of the Mormon religion. I think the background music is the Mormon Tabernacle Choir singing Battle Hymn of the Republic! Great video!

Thanks for the report.

Romney's Supporters

Are, for the most part, good conscientious people and would have a hard time convincing themselves to support McC. We welcome their support.
