For the last year, we have known that the media has shielded the general public from Ron Paul's freedom message. Afraid of gaining power & support, the media did what it knows best, hide the truth from the millions upon millions of Americans. We screamed foul play, we even threatened with what little boycotting powers we had...but after the dust settled, and the cards were dealt, they succeeded in keeping the lid on this freedom message.
But we knew the message. And we need not look at the polls for direction. The message is the "NORTH STAR", not the numbers posted by the very same machine we did not trust. We must prevail.
We must avoid the machine and its deceiving ways. Who cares who is winning the false battles, its the WAR that we want to win. The message reaching to each and every person is the goal. The message carried thru the hearts & minds of your fellow citizens will perpetually empower us, not only until the election day, but throughout your life, your children's life and their children. You were exposed to the truth, now share the TRUTH of who you are and what you are supposed to be. Shatter the lies that were given to us from birth.
THIS IS NOT JUST AN ELECTION of a Presidential Candidate, this is a battle for FREEDOM. Look past the stage and its actors, and read between the lines. There is new form of conservatism that took over the government when G.W.Bush took over -- and it is properly termed "Neo-conservatism". This is a doctrine put into place by the same folk who managed to sink us into an endless bloody war in that stinking religious cesspool in and around Israel. We are now being presented, not by the "conservatives" but by the "Neo-conservatives" with another round of nation breaking policies. It is to be led by the unstable McCain and his closest adviser, that one-time Democratic Liberal, then Independent, now Republican Conservative -- Joe Lieberman. They intend to l carry out Bush's neocon policy of keeping up the war (even for 100 more years) and expanding the war into Iran. That is why Bush has recommended McCain. Yes, I am appalled by the paranoia of Terrorism and misinformation being spread by the neocons - one element of it being that they actually dare call themselves "Conservatives". Damn right I'm angry -- my Party and my country are being perverted into one that supports Dictators and torture, unconstitutional wars and money based upon the whim of the privately owned "Federal Reserve" -- we are being slowly crushed under the heel of these so-called Patriotic Conservatives. He's choosing the best way to win.
Perhaps if he had gotten $23 million in January with more pouring in and had 100,000 precinct leaders. Then if the republican continued to shut him out, then obviously he'd be in a different situation than he is now. Under those circumstances, I'm sure he'd give it more consideration. He knows what a third party run would take and he knows that he's not getting the support he would need to be successful.
So between trying to win a brokered convention or a third party run, he's taking what he feels is his best option.
He never hinted once...

Here in Germany, if a "movement" was getting 21% support in Bavaria, it would be running the entire German government by now.
How? Well the liberal blocks would have, together, about 45% in polling and the CDU Conservatives would know they'd just been split in half. In order to stay in power, the CDU would have to adopt a lot of what we were saying.
In fact, the FDP exists here to fit the purpose that the libertarians in the USA would have if they were allowed any representation.
In Germany, if you get more than 5% of the votes, you get proportional representation in the Bundestag (anything less than that and you might get nothing or only a few parliament members from subsections of states (districts).
How do we behave in our 2 party system? In the USA one has no choice but blackmail. Blackmail can be done either by having a third party run or by saying "I will not vote for McCain but rather vote for Clinton to double down on my animosity toward McCain".
Of the two, I prefer the third party run where the third person is getting more than 10% like Perot was getting.
If the polls were showing 45% Obama and 30% McCain...the media would have to report on the force that was taking the other 15% away from McCain. They would have no choice.
Over the summer, a 3rd Party candidate with personality could be at 20% to McCain's 25% and Obama's 40%.
In November it could be 25% third party, 20% McCain and 38% Democrat.
That would force the Republican Party to change.
If RP is not going to run, he needs to get Wayne Allen in the spotlight now or the female Libertarian leader in the spotlight.
Ron Paul can then try to pull off the great stunts at the Rep Convention...if he is above the 5% threshold in delegates that will allow him to even speak.
Meanwhile, Ross Perot never really had an inspirational message. He got 20% only because Republicans really did not like Bush, not because they liked Perot.
In 1988, conservatives did not like Bush either, but they allowed themselves to vote for him because Dukakis was insane.

You think Alan Keyes has received so little media attention because of his political views? He's a pro-war Republican. So obviously, no.

the fantasy would be if someone at this point thought that there was no blackout on RP.. he actually has done things in the last year that should have media on him from wakeup to sleep. Keyes doesn't have seconds anywhere.. possible firsts that are being fixed and rewritten (LA for example), the fundraising that RP has gotten. This would normally be a journalist's deam, what is happening.

Blackout" means NO COVERAGE. Paul has been on the news many times. Claims of a blackout are false. Candidates are on the news in proportion to how well they poll. This is obvious to anyone's whose head is not in the clouds searching for conspiracies.
Duncan Hunter also received much less coverage than Paul.
And please don't tell me the "polls are rigged." There are many polling companies all competing to be the most accurate. They do not conspire to rig the polls against Paul. Enough conspiracy theories!

I've seen several reporters say things positive about Paul. And several positive stories. So anyone who tells you that is lying.
Why hasn't Wolfe Blitzer lost his job for being so sympathetic with Paul and having him on so much? Why hasn't Tucker Carlson who endorsed Paul lost his job? Why has Chris Matthews who has spoke well of Paul on many occasions and referring to him as a Goldwater conservative not been fired?
