Run for Congress under the GOOOH Party?

0 votes

I just found out about this non-partisan political party that just started up. GOOOH stands for Get Out Of Our House. Their plan is to get all the career politicians out of Congress and replace them with normal people like us. Lawyers and wealthy people (11.7mil) are not allowed to join the party. Each member answers over 100 questions upon joining and donates at least $100. Members will not be allowed to vote differently from the original questionnaire without getting permission or resigning within 72-hours. The money is used to run a national campaign for GOOOH candidates so they are not allowed to take money from special interests. Each district goes through a candidate selection/elimination process so that there only ends up being 1 GOOOH candidate per district. I am doing some soul-searching to see if this is right for my path. I highly suggest that we all check this out as a good way to continue the r3volution.

Lawyers are the problem... sorry but they need to be out!

The Liberty a society retains is inversely proportional to the number of Lawyers in the Government.

Correction

"Originally, the founder of GOOOH proposed excluding lawyers, members of political families, and individuals with more than $11.5 million in assets (250 times the median income). They were not to be excluded because they are bad people, but because they are overly represented in government today and, generally speaking, no longer seem to represent the common man. However, based on input from our members, the Question Committee has voted to remove the exclusion of laywers and the wealthy. Instead, it has been decided that members of these two groups must simply declare that they are a lawyer or have more than $11.5m in assets in each Selection Session in which they participate. It will be up to the participants in each pool to decide whether or not that is of concern. We believe this change is indicative of the continuing evolution of the GOOOH system."

After reading this, I'm much more interested.

Why not RPR's?

We have a few constitutionalists here. I think we can device it here by just asking for a donation, perhaps to the campaign. Not the standard $100 fee the website charges. We can also introduce Economics questionaires. You can't be a good leader of a country if you don't know how to serve it.

Sign up anyway

If you make it through the vetting process and you're in my district, I'll vote for you for congress!!! And you don't give the $100 until you choose to enter the process and qualify.

Unfortunately, as of today I do not qualify because despite NOT being a lawyer, I have defended one suit and plan to file another against the gov't. Maybe when I win my new case you'll want me there anyway on the RP platform. :-)

On the surface this sounds

like a good idea, but the reality is that this is no better then when we have now. Elected officials are supposed to be held accountable to the people. Now all they are doing is shifting the accountability to an organization. Why would I want to support a candidate that was more accountable to an organization versus me no matter what the ideology is supposed to be?

Btw, once you are sworn in as an official, they cannot force you to resign. So that is just silly.

I thought it was a good idea..

but anything that asks for money up front makes me skeptical. Sounds good in theory, though.

Good grief.

I worry about an organization that would even think to ask if you would limit what a person could rightfully inherit.

They have to ask

to weed out ppl who would do dumb stuff like steal our inheritances

GOOOH can work!

I know Tim Cox, who is the creator of GOOOH.. and have sat through several of his workshops and mock candidate selection sessions.. There is NO money what so ever required from anyone, at any given point in time. He has been, and is continuing to do this whole thing on his own dime. The guy is a genius and his work history validates that. WE need to help get him on some national radio/tv interview. He just hired a marketing company to actually do this.. but spread the word. If you have ANY questions get at me.. Link to official site is http://goooh.com/

AND there is some voting going on right now for him to get on FREEDOM WATCH.. it takes 2 seconds to vote. GO HERE
