Let's bomb the campaign telling them that if the Republican presidential run doesn't work out, Dr. Paul should run as 3rd party candidate.When you think about it, if the country were to elect a 3rd party canditate it would be a Revolution in itself. » |

Dr. Paul clearly and intelligently stated his position on a third-party bid. Please focus and concentrate your energy on awakening minds to the message, or we are all sunk. The campaign has other business to attend to then getting flooded with useless pleas.

time (like I knew I would) watching all four videos on that site, NONE of which say anything remotely like what you claim. Provide your video links that back up your claims that he is just waiting for us to beg him for a 3rd party run or you will be shown as a liar.

The only way I will listen to any more of these silly arguments about Ron Paul running third party is if Ron Paul starts posting here or if one of you has been in Congress for as long as he has.
If you really are a true Ron Paul supporter than you will allow him to make the decision not to run 3rd party, as he stated THIS WEEK, and abide by his decision.
Instead of wasting time on this, why don't you all go recruit some more people like Ron Paul, to run for Congress so we can get a majority there and really start to change things?
I wanted him to run 3rd party, but he has decided not to. So I'll live with it and do what I can to work toward restoring the republic instead of living in fantasy land, that I will change his mind because I know better than he does. Please. He's a lot smarter than me and a lot smarter than you.

Suzan, buti've been supporting the good Doctor for 10yrs, and he didn't even want to run for President till he was pushed by his friends. I 100% agree he's a lot smarter than most of us, doesn't mean he's always right. Look at his message, it would've never gotten out the way it has, if he wasn't running for President.
Ron Paul has not canvassed
I don't know if you have,
but it's frustrating to talk to a Democrat who is more interested in voting for Obama/Clinton primary than in the Republican primary for "ron paul who cannot win", even though they pledge to vote for him in the generals.
This happens OVER AND OVER.
I even talked to a Republican (from texas) who said "I'd vote for him, but he should call a spade a spade and be a Libertarian and not a Republican".
Party loyalty is easier to breach in the general elections. Ron Paul's judgement of 3rd parties is informed by his experience in 1988. It is not 1988 anymore.
I am not a Ron Paul supporter. I support his ideas, but more importantly, ACTION on his ideas. The best way to get action on the ideas is to have him run as a 3rd party candidate. Full stop.
Remember Ron Paul has stated many times, this is not about him.

A congressmen is nothing, I will say again nothing, they don't even have fillibuster powers such as a senator or veto power of a president. Its not only about how far the movement progresses in congress, but the fact thta if he looses his seat, then the NEOCONS will trumpet it as a rejection of the ideals of the revolution.

I read Obomba's "Audacity of Hope" and was impressed the way he wrote to appeal the Tom Brokaws' "Greatest Generation". For months the reason to vote for Obomba is, he's black. Only Congress controls the purse strings, only Congress can legally declare war, only Congress has the power to dissolve the Federal Reserve system, only Congress has the authority to coin money.
Dr. Paul has thought this through, he tried a 3rd party run once before and he knows the odds, and he has decided against it. So support Ron Paul by supporting him in his decision, and stop with this nonsense !

How are we all nuts? Nonsense email?
We would be telling what we feel and think. The Message isn't a partisan thing. It's a freedom message, not tied down with any party. As the good Doctor been saying(thanks to his leadership) we have been the campaign HQ always trying to catch up. In the end it will always be his decision, but I see nothing wrong in letting him know how we feel.
Forget waiting
If we wait till the Rep nomination goes through, it will be about a month to get him on ballots. This will not work.
If Ron Paul is to go third party, he needs to choose now, and make a decisive stand. And announce to everyone that the reason why he's changing is because of overwhelming grassroots support. There's nothing dishonorable about that. It doesn't violate any of his deepest convictions (only his circumstantial convictions), and it will show America that he isn't crazy, and isn't so hardheaded that he won't be responsive to the electorate (a criticism some democrats I have tried to convert have leveled at him).
