America = not ready for the RP Revolution

0 votes

"Ignorant, apathetic, and complacent" are 3 words that are often used by the rest of the world to describe Americans. A society that is ripe and ready for revolution is generally not associated with any of those 3 words. We, the "Ron Paul Revolution" recognize that our country is in deep crisis and that we need immediate and drastic change via many of Dr. Paul's "remedies and prescriptions".......but unfortunately, we are currently the minority. It would take an overwhelming majority to stop the bias, the vote rigging, the lying, the cheating, the stealing, the killing, the wars, and the hate. Perhaps we the people as a whole have not endured the amount of pain, suffering, and oppression that it takes to be able to pull off a REAL revolution. When I say "REAL", I'm talking about the sort of revolution in which our very existence hangs in the balance. Here in America, we are not at that point......yet. I truly believe that in order for a revolutionary movement such as our own to gain serious momentum, our country would have to slide much further downhill first. Let's hope that doesn't happen!! I sincerely hope that our next elected president (whomever he/she is) can actually produce the type of change that they are promising......(the kind that we are all longing for). Then, there will be no need for a Ron Paul Revolution or any other Revolution for that matter. To me, the Ron Paul Revolution is kind of a barometer for American middle class sentiment. RP gathers more support as things get progressively worse in America.....which is both ironic and unfortunate. If you can agree with that, then think how much worse things would have to get in order for a candidate like RP to actually get elected in this country.

I've always said that a vote for Ron Paul

is a vote against food riots. We're on a cusp right now with all kinds of events that could cause significant destabilization not only in the United States, but in the world as well; and they could happen at any time.

First, we have the Iranian oil bourse due to open when the underwater internet cables were cut. Was this sent as a warning? Or was it just an attempt to postpone the inevitable? When the inevitable comes, what will be the response of the United States? The last person who tried to decouple oil from the dollar was Saddam Hussein. It didn't work out too well for him, as I recall.

Next, we have high expectations among Wall Street that the Federal Reserve is going to cut interest rates; which, will probably happen. Most people think will drive us further into inflation. What is being little talked about is the fact that the Federal Reserve is selling bonds in the market, which is their most direct tool for contracting the supply of currency and credit available to the member banks. This will lead to monetary deflation. Historically, this is how the central banks have destroyed the economies they have ruled over for centuries. They first get everyone into debt with cheap credit in times of monetary inflation, then take away all of the currency available to pay the debt. Don't forget that the bankers will eat their own first. Watch for bank runs and smaller bank closures. In the end, the big banks and their agents end up owning the majority of the property; or the government confiscates the property to pay taxes they cannot collect in currency.

To further show that the central banks are contracting the supply of currency, the IMF has announced a major gold sale set for April. In effect, the IMF is going to try to flood the gold market, driving the price of gold down in the short term. This will further contract the amount of currency available in the world economy, thus causing more deflationary pressure on currency supplies. The good news about this, is that it is the central bankers last shot. In the medium term, after the IMF floods the market with gold, the price should maintain a relatively high level in comparison to the other goods in the economy due to limited supply of gold. If this is a little confusing, then let me put it into simple terms. I am saying hold gold, and expect to buy more in April at lower prices. Do not give up your gold, or your silver, no matter what. It is your financial freedom and peace while the currency manipulations are occurring.

So, we have possible war with Iran, mass deflation and unemployment, massive debt defaults, and the apparatus of a police state hanging over our heads to hold it all together.

To answer your question, the future is pretty damn hazy at this point. Personally, I don't think that any of the presidential candidates other than Ron Paul have an idea as how to fix this mess. With John McCain, we are looking at further undeclared perpetual war to keep the oil producing nations under the dollar's thumb. With Hillary Clinton, we get blatant communism coupled with a rampant police state. With Mike Huckabee we get more Federal Reserve fraud coupled with theocracy. With Barack Obama we get an untried first term senator who will probably fold under the weight of the entire mess. The only candidate who will be able to keep the people fed, keep us out of war, and bring an end to our hegemony peacefully is Ron Paul. The people of the United States will probably start listening to the Revolution when they are hungry enough. Until then, ensure your survival and get out Dr. Paul's message.

holy crap! well said!

thanks for posting. you're a fantastic writer. keep sharing!

We need to remember this as well...

"... it does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen to set brush fires in people's minds..." -- Samuel Adams, "Father of the American Revolution"

I appreciate your comments.....

Like many of you, I'm searching for answers and trying to make sense of it all. I'm fairly well traveled though, and have spent a considerable amount of time in foreign countries (40+)....but not as a tourist...which gives me a bit of a "unique" perspective.

fs

History shows...

... only takes 5% of a population to overthrow and existing governmental order.

American Revolution 2.0 has more than that when you add the active Dr. Paul supporters with those who lean towards Dr. Paul but have chosen to go with one of the other candidates over "electability" issues.

I think we're more ready than you might think.

;)

It had to happen

If the people were not ready for the RP Revolution, then RP had to do what he has done to prepare people for it.

There are thousands that have learned lessons of liberty from RP.

The largest arsenal in the world cannot stop an idea whose time has come. IF the time has not come yet, it will come, and sooner for what RP has done this last year.

Time on Our Side

Things can get ALOT worse over the next 7 months. As long as there is a chance for a brokered convention there is a chance for Ron Paul. The financial markets and the economy will continue to weaken and americans will be getting progressively dissatisfied and angry. You may still be right in the end, but it's too early to slack off or stop our efforts. Hang in there.

I've got relatives visiting

I've got relatives visiting from Holland - and they would kindly disagree.

They say the overall impression of the American 'people', outside of our borders, is that we want change - but our government is corrupt and wont allow change.

Hmm.. think they're spot-on for that one.

But think of it this way. You say we are just a minority of people trying to fix a broken system.

It was an even smaller minority of people who broke it to begin with. There are more of 'us' - those who want the Constitution in place, in full - than there are of 'them' - those who would subvert it for their own personal or communal gains.

:)

europeans suffer under socialism, communism, fascism

...they seem even more receptive to the feedom message than we do since they've been even more suppressed by their governments...thus all the stunning number of Ron Paul meet up groups worldwide...

Interesting to hear their perspective - "They say the overall impression of the American 'people', outside of our borders, is that we want change - but our government is corrupt and wont allow change."

They have MASSIVE welfare states in Europe

They would never vote for Paul -- he'd get rid of all the huge entitlements there.

I understand that...

....what I am pointing out is that lightbulbs are going on in some of the people's heads and they are realizing that they've been slaves...

just like it happened with us...hey, even worse for me...I was a democrat who had a lifetime of buying the party BS!

Hey "tstorey" says that all the time too - more of us! I think

Hey "tstorey" says that all the time too - more of us! I think about that all the time too - there ARE more of us. Except that the "them" have taken away so many of the freedoms from "us" that we wonder if we CAN ever fight the "them"...at least I do sometimes...
