The Message of Freedom
After reading Dr. Paul's latest message, I was heartbroken to actually see it in his own words: The chances for a brokered convention are nearly zero.
I want him to win so badly, because I know with every fiber of my being that he will steer our country in the direction it needs to be. We are broke, in more ways than one, and we need to be fixed. Ron Paul is the only person running for President that says he can do that - and means it.
I want true freedom and a better future for my kids.
I think the reason the message resonates so loud for me is because my first instinct as a mother is to protect my children. I finally woke up to what was going on in the world and after I got over the initial shock, I began this mad scramble to try and make it better for my sons. I started to really listen to what the candidates were saying, and I was tired of all of the same old cookie-cutter answers. I didn't want to be afraid that my sons and my grandchildren would be fighting these unconstitutional wars and invasions of other people's lands for the rest of THEIR lives.
Then I heard Ron Paul's message of freedom, less government in our lives, obeying constitution, bringing our troops home NOW, security of our borders, and friendship and trade with other countries - not occupation and control of them.
When Ron Paul spoke of his future plans for this revolution at the end of his latest message to his supporters, I was reminded of another email I got from a Victoria Meetup Member. He said that he hoped that after all of "this," we could all still meet and talk about the message and what we can do to keep it alive.
My response to that, and to anyone feeling defeated: The message has spread because of all of you it will never be slienced again. It is our fight to keep Freedom and Liberty ours. The revolution will not be televised - I can promise you that. So it is up to each and every one of you to act as if each day is the heart of this battle. These Meetup groups do not end after your state's primary or the general election.
These Meetup groups are just the very beginning of our future. The future we want for our children and their children.
No matter who gets the most delegates or what happens at the convention, you have to remember that. If we let this message die because we feel like we were cheated by the media and their coverage (or lack thereof), then everything you are working for was for nothing.
That is why I am doing everything that I can to help get him re-elected to Congress. I personally feel that no matter what he feels his chances are or aren't for the Presidential nomination, his seat is more important - because that is the foundation of this fight.
Please join me in Defending the District and donate to Ron Paul's congressional campaign. Today was a mass donation day, but it should have been a mass donation WEEKEND.

I can't wait to see all of you at the Lake Jackson Rally tomorrow to hear Ron Paul speak!
