Canvassed yesterday - 75% for RON PAUL!!!!
No kidding. I finally screwed up the nerve to knock on doors. There was VERY little "Ron Who?" a couple "No" but at least 75% were decided on Ron or leaning toward him with the "I just don't know if he can get elected" line. It was great, soon I got to point around at their neighbors and say "I've been door to door, and I can tell you he would win your neighborhood. Will you vote for him if he is on the ballot?"
The answer was "Yes, yes, yes."
I live in Idaho, and with Mittens gone, Ron can seal this state UP.
PLEASE become a precinct leader. It is a free way to tell Ron you are still here. It also makes you KNOW the media is lying - Ron is kicking SERIOUS butt, my friends. I am terribly shy, it took the enthusiam of a meetup newbie to get me to the door. We took home made cookies, and I said "I would like a few minutes of your time to talk politics, but I brought cookies to sweeten the deal." Very few actaully took the cookie, but they talked to me and they took my materials - to give to friends!

I was terrified of canvassing but I did it. I didn't spend a lot of time knocking on doors, though. But the ones I did and the people I met as I was delivering literature were very positive. No one was rude or mean even if they didn't support him.
People in the remaining states MUST CANVASS.

HALF of working a precinct is making phone calls.
And since they are all local phone calls that should not be too expensive.
You can at least do that and do "Voter ID" over the phone -- then when you have a subset list of people from the list who ARE interested (or have "important issues" that Ron Paul speaks to) -- you can probably find ANOTHER nearby precinct leader to do the literature dropoffs for you.
You CAN be of great assistance. (As a matter of fact a lot of people who DO the actual walking, hate doing the phone work -- so you could help cover more than one precinct.)
Go sign up, I guarantee you there are open precincts near you.
