This is a sample letter that I am going to be posting on my web site that visitors can use to write their reps with or change around and add some of their own comments to. I just wanted some feedback from you all here to see what you think

Re: Uphold your Oath of Office
Your Reps name here:
Dear Representative:
Encouraged by the overwhelming support for the Constitution and Liberty as shown by the millions in the 2008 Presidential candidacy campaign. I am writing this letter to you and my other Representatives in both Houses of Congress to encourage you to consider the Constitution and Bill of Rights whenever you vote on any piece of legislation. Any vote that undermines the Constitution and Bill of Rights is Unacceptable to me and other
thousands (or even millions) of your constituency. I, for one, will remember those votes come election times. I and
many others are demanding that our elected representatives uphold their Oath of Office and defend and preserve the
Constitution.
I will review your voting record frequently and especially come election times. I and others will hold our representatives
responsible for any vote cast against the Constitution by not voting for them.
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
(your name here)

My website is http://www.eclecticlife.org, but is in the process of being revamped into an entirely new site devoted to the Constitution and Bill of Rights. It will take some time as I have to work and have a three year old to chase after. So I was just looking for feedback on this as I am going to use it as a sample letter that people can copy to write to their reps. There will also be a "Contact Congress" link so people can get their reps address.Thanks.

Thank You Zeus
I have thought that a forum to post letters to the Editor, and letters to congress for others to use is a good idea.
I know that many people do not have the ability to come up with a good letter, (OR like you, they are too busy chasing a three year old around to sit down and write one!)
Thanks for your service to our country by posting this!
Dear Representative *Blank*
I, and many others, are encouraged by the campaign rhetoric in support of the Constitution in this presidential race. However, I feel this is mainly lip service in the same old rhetoric as "cutting taxes", "saving social security", "decreasing the size of government", etc. We all know that none of these campaign promises have been delivered.
Our economy is in deep trouble. Many of us are beginning to understand the consequences of the Federal Reserve devaluing our currency to bail out the big global corporations at the expense of the American taxpayer. We understand we are on the verge of a deep recession.
This election cycle there is a groundswell of understanding and support for a return to Constitutional government. Please understand: We know the consequences of your vote on the issues! Because of this, I and many others will hold you accountable for any votes you make that are not in accord with our Constitution.
I will no longer support any candidate with a marginal record on Constitutional votes, with my vote OR my donations. Will you sign a pledge to support the Constitution and return the Constitutional power to our state governments, and to WE THE PEOPLE?
A concerned citizen,
*Blank*
Why Beg When You Can Command?
Letters are like begging. If there wasn't now a better idea, this might be the best we could do. THOSE DAYS ARE NOW OVER! Please take a look at a whole new way at http://www.dailypaul.com/node/36172. Am I lying?
I have one as well
but mine states:
--Our grassroots team have already begun reviewing and copying your voting record in relation to the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Unfortunately, we found your current grade to be a disappointing D-. This is totally unacceptable to your constituents in Arkansas. Your constitiuents elected you and expect you to uphold your oath of office by guarding with extreme prejudice the Constitution and our Bill of Rights. You have little time left to correct your voting course or we will begin to have you recalled and or impeached.
We will review your voting record again in sixty days. If you remove your voting record we will begin immediately to pursue impeachment against you and any other Arkansan who holds a political office. However, this is not the course we wish to take. We elected you because we believed that you would uphold your oath of office, so please, work immediately to correct your mistakes on votes you cast that were against the Constitution and Bill of Rights. It's the American way.
Sincerely,
The Arkansas Revolution--
Okay, that just pat of it. But I like yours too....just posted this to help give ideals, you know, like brainstorming...:-)

Well said!
We come up with some good ideas when we brainstorm, Yes?!
indeed
when we are in one mind and one accord...

This quote would be good
to put at the very bottom of every letter as a signature!
oh, I see...

I swiped it from you
But now I sign every one of my emails with it, as well as the Hope for America and Ron's website address. I hope you don't mind. :-)
I am in Arkansas, and really
I am in Arkansas, and really like most of that letter. But do not sign it "revolution". That kind of puts "us" on the outside. If they are violating the constitution, then they are automatically in default with the American Public, and can PERSONALLY be sued, not just impeached.
I added revolution
at the end for this post...Mine doesn't really have revolution on it, I just put it there for a sample....

Great idea!!
Great idea!!
Good Idea!
A thought: How about making it a generic letter, no mention of Ron Paul, but stating that ALL presidential candidates are now stressing the importance of the Constitution.
My reasoning is that they then can't immediately dismiss it as being from a Ron Paul supporter.
Am I wrong?
I agree
I agree and thought about that but went with this one as a rough draft. I'll change that now.
