which is authorized to shoot to kill during martial law. Insider, Matthew Rothschild, blows the whistle:

"We were assured that if we were forced to kill someone to
protect our infrastructure, there would be no repercussions,"
the whistleblower says. "It gave me goose bumps. It chilled
me to the bone."

"One business executive, who showed me his InfraGard card, told me they have permission to "shoot to kill" in the event of martial law."

Have we worried about becoming a surveillance society?
Why just spy on the citizens when you can kill them?
There are currently 23,000 members in 700 chapters
They have a web page at http://www.infragard.net/
This description is given:

"At its most basic level, InfraGard is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the private sector. InfraGard is an association of businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States. InfraGard Chapters are geographically linked with FBI Field Office territories. Learn more about InfraGard ".

The FBI Deputizes Business

By Matthew Rothschild, February 7, 2008
Infragard

"We were assured that if we were forced to kill someone to
protect our infrastructure, there would be no repercussions,"
the whistleblower says. "It gave me goose bumps. It chilled
me to the bone."

Today, more than 23,000 representatives of private industry
are working quietly with the FBI and the Department of
Homeland Security. The members of this rapidly growing
group, called InfraGard, receive secret warnings of terrorist
threats before the public does-and, at least on one occasion,
before elected officials. In return, they provide information
to the government, which alarms the ACLU. But there may be
more to it than that. One business executive, who showed
me his InfraGard card, told me they have permission to
"shoot to kill" in the event of martial law.

In denial

anyone read the comments section of this link from above yet?

Pretty serious allegations if true. I'm sure you'll find exactly which lengthy post I am refering to.

I was not aware that any

I was not aware that any person or group of people possessed the authority to grant any person or group of people permission to kill any person or group of people.

INFRAGARD

Please spare me the Infragard conspiracy talk...look at the key phrases used here i.e "working quietly" "secret warnings" "provide information back to the government"...shoot to kill. - yep, cloak and dagger stuff.

Unfortunately, While I chuckle at this I wonder how many jump on this as true just because they WANT it to be true? Liberty demands discernment of truth, folks.

I am a IT security professional and have a membership with Infragard and other security organizations. Quietly working is a good description because the topics are quite BORING to most folks, unless you "want" to understand the difference between DES, 3DES and AES. or worse yet SCADA details !

Here is the truth. The FBI was in charge of investigating and prosecution of cyber-crimes ( attacks against computer systems), this was especially needed since many attacks were trans-national in origin. For years the FBI and Secret Service dealt with HIGH $ cases only and those were very rare and generally related to national security or computers used in Fed crimes like insider trading.

Given the level of threat to government entities versus corporations, there was not much interaction between the fed and companies on computer based crimes.Companies generally were concerned about script kiddies defacing their public web site thus damaging their brand. The government's IT security experts had far bigger worries.

Within the last several years, the script kiddie threat has been largely replaced by new threats; individuals motivated by a desire to sell personal information for money ( identity theft), organized crime directed attacks against e-commerce sites, and worse yet - cyber-warfare, where a country attacks another country's computing infrastructure - hackers as Military weapons - of which China has invested much effort.

As the threats now crossed into the realm of financial services and utility systems as well as Government systems, Infragard was setup to foster communications and lessons learned. We face the same threats and we have the same vulnerabilities to our IT and infrastructure systems that we both need to fix or mitigate.

As for the alerts getting to us and not to a senator first? I receive probably 25-50 alerts per day via email. One alert was an explosion near a nuke plant...come to find out it was Billy Bob deciding it would be fun to blow up a junked dump truck with explosives; likely he was drinking !. He didn't think about the nuke plant until authorites arrived at his property...whoops.

Another alert was that an internet cable was reported cut....CNN had that story too. Another was on a counterfeit traveler's check floating about and even one was a earthquake notice that Baja california had a 6.5 quake and that infrastructure was likely impacted.

Come to think of it....how was it that the people in Baja California knew before me ( an Infragard guy) that a quake occured in Baja California? Hmm.

No black helicopter's here folks....stay focused on the ball - delegates

From the InfraGard FAQ

Q: Which threats does InfraGard address?

A: Unstructured Threats (Insiders, Recreational Hackers, and Institutional Hackers); Structured Threats (Organized Crime, Industrial Espionage and Terrorists); and National Security Threats (Intelligence Agencies and Information Warriors)."

Information Warriors?

Info Warriors

For example. in China there is an established effort to employ a governmentally sanctioned "hacker force". Look into it. Information Warfare is an interesting topic (for IT geeks anyways).

I assume most major countries try to establish this capacity.

joining requirements

sound like the Mason's "to be one, ask one." Creepy, creepy, creepy. Actuallly my topic of conversation with Larry Craig's secretary last Friday. I asked her to look into it this weekend, and I'll be quizzing her tomorrow. I told you this campaign has become a joy for me. What will Larry do with an awake secretary in his office?!

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

Now to break it down into

Now to break it down into real simple terms, just remember there are two types of authority in this country.

There are the beurocrats, Unelected officials.
Not accountable to the people.

There are representatives, elected officials.
Accountable to the people.

Some examples of beuracracy's are the CIA, The FBI, The DOE, and the Department of Home land security .now these are offices bestowed with authority, who are appointed, not elected.

Now to make this as simple as possible as an example, the CIA was created as a direct result of the cold war, Meaning when the cold war was over they no longer had a function. So in turn they push
this war on terror to insure they are still a viable entity into the future. Watch wag the dog for an example of this.

Now when we allow beuracracy's to form in our country and give them authority, they always will act in way's to secure there own survival. Now remember they are unelected, meaning they are not accountable to We the People, and often act outside the law.

Now we know we are in trouble when the beuracracy's are lying to our elected officials in the name of so called "National Security". Sorry congressman, we can't let you know that because of "National Security". Realize this is a recipe for disaster, as we have all heard absolute power corrupts absolutley.

When a democratic constitional republic gives over it's Freedoms for National Security, we are treading in shallow water. It is the equivalent of trading over power to people who are not accountable to We the people. Unelected unaccountable operating outside the law, operating outside the constitution. That is why they have no respect for it, because it does not pertain to them.

So there in lies the battle, the beuracracies are the enemy of the people, they must not be aloud to have over riding power, which sets a condition for corruption. Where no one is accoutable, and all there violations can be hidden from the people.

Beuracracy bad, unaccountable, acting in their own self interest. We the people can't kick out a sitting CIA director, but we can kick out an elected official. Are you guys following me?

This is the key to there dominance of our everyday lifes, because they can operate behind the curtain. It is facism. They are the vehichal, the Trojan Horse for Facism to advance into the heart of a Free Nation.

If their are no beuracracies with authority, that makes government transparent and managable by the people.

Try to really understand this, because it is the Key to understanding how Facism works it's way into our constitutional government.

The shift into giving over authority to private companies is just another example of beuracracy and it's handlers at work.

The Seeds of Truth we Plant today will grow to be the Tree of Freedom tommorow.

The Seeds of Truth we Plant today will grow to be the Tree of Freedom tommorow.

I would go one step further,

I would say that we have three types of officials. There are bureaucrats who are appointed, elected officials who slip through and wield very little real power (such as pre-r3volution Ron Paul types), and elected officials who are actually appointed, or, to be more accurate, ANNOINTED. The media then convinces the people to elect those officials, who are then accountable to the people who got them elected (not the people who actually cast the votes).

What really worries me is that this fascist cr@p keeps being approved and implemented and hardly anyone is screaming foul.

How close to Nazi Germany must the US become before whistleblowers and vocal opponents of all this aren't attacked and marginalized as being "conspiracy theorist nut-jobs"? How far? Is state-authorized torture not enough? Permission to "shoot-to-kill" US citizens not enough? [beats head against wall]

I agree

I agree with you about that, I definatley believe there are those that are now annointed, by the beurocrats, to grow more beuracracy.

At the same time though we are allowing it to happen, we still have enough of our traditions and values to make a surge back to the constitution, we have to just keep working, and by working I mean getting the message out there.

For the conspiracy thing, there will always be someone if given power who wants to retain it, meaning they will say whatever neccessary and use what ever tools that are at there dissposal. This being said it is irrelevant what they call us, only that we keep spreading the truth, while exposing there deceptions.

We are on the right track and I dont believe in coicidence, so I think this whole Movement the rEVOLution was meant to be, it is our legacy, it is our generations together who will shape tommorows world.

Oh yeah

WE SHOULD ALL JOIN UP NOW!

Requirements to join / need to know

It would seem that you would need a reason to join. Be part of a companies security (IT or physical). Local Police, Public utility, etc.

Plus you will need to submit to / pass an FBI background investigation. (or hold an existing DOD C/S/TS clearance)

Members of the military (with clearance) may be able to directly qualify. I'll have to check the application from home after I get off base at the end of my shift. (I cant install abobe to open the PDF on my work station for some reason)

I might go to the next meeting of the chapter local to me. Its at the police gun range and they are showing a bomb squad team demonstration...

Hell I went to the local Fed Bank for their tour a few weeks ago.

I figure why not get to know the system?
