Newest Update: OK It's Done! Anyone who cares it's here:

http://s237.photobucket.com/albums/ff16/industrymag/?action=...

I am doing an ad for Ron Paul and I need some help. Can I get some Military advice?
I want to put on the best quotes from Military personnel, preferable from the highest ranking officers on this list. Can someone (or two or three) help me go thru this and find the best.
I will publish there quote and name/rank. I think the higher the rank the better. This is going in a small magazine to approx. 30,000 homes next month. That will reach about 65,000 voters in Utah.
NOTE: I only need one or two.
This tread may fall, please bump periodically until we have the best.
I will up date the thread when I have what I need. Just cut and paste the best of the best.

Thank you for your help!

Here's the list:

Thank you so much, I wish I could make a bigger ad-- Maybe I'll put together a full page flier for ya'll.

Fine job! Thank you so much!

Trust in God, but tie your camel tight.

Wow!

Nice graphic.

Thanks.

I'll bump once more before I go.

honors to lynnopoly

Your fine work on DP and for RP is to be commended.

Please see post below...reads:

''Careful, troops-
On February 10th, 2008 Vet4Paul says:

Active Military may not use their rank/title/position to endorse any candidate.'

* *

This seems to only apply to active duty...not veterans???

Please have someone check the rules...it would be a travesty...to publish an endorsement...only to see that dedicated soldier go down for violation of the Hatch Act? ...or other campaign rules.

My spouse is a DOD worker and has to be careful too.

Just a 'heads-up'...go RP, and honors to you for your fine work...

Yea, I saw that. These

Yea, I saw that. These quotes are already published. It's just a re-print. If anyone gets in trouble it will be me, and I'll take my chances!
Thanks for your concern :)

Second thought, maybe I'll just use veterans quotes. That way no one else gets in trouble.

I agree

This is THE MOST IMPORTANT message to get across, I hear time and time again of people afraid of his foreign policy ---imagine, afraid of the foreign policy dictated by the constitution.
I hear more from people who didn't know about his contributions, unbelievable. I don't think there could be a more powerful endorsement out there then from our troops fighting for OUR freedom. My god, I don't understand how people can brush this off.

Military Quotes

I would suggest one of the most highly decorated Viet Nam Veterans ever. Randy Weaver. Yes, the same Randy Weaver who along with his wife, son, and dog, were murdered by the ATF. God rest in Peace Mr. Weaver. You are not forgotten. God Bless Ron Paul and his Sons and Daughters of Liberty. I am proud of all of you. Mike A - U.S. Army retired. 56th Field Artillary Pershing

Randy Weaver is not dead, he is.....

very much still alive. He lost his pregnant wife, son and dog. All due to police state tactics per "our" Federal Govt.

He is NOT Dead...

And he definitely is NOT forgotten in Idaho. The Feds still have hoops and hurdles to jump through in my state because of the Ruby Ridge incident. Got Bless Randy Weaver!!!

Yes

God bless your souls,
The Patriots of the Revolution.

Mathew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

He's not dead.

Well then,I take that back.

Mathew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Careful, troops-

Active Military may not use their rank/title/position to endorse any candidate.

Retirees can do whatever the hell they want, but active duty need to be careful here. You wouldn't be prosecuted, most likely, but could be reprimanded for violating a DoD directive.

Now, this sucks, I know, because John McCain tells people that "the troops tell me they just want us to let them win". Puke. McCain knows that Soldiers can't respond to him directly.

My advice is go with Bo Whitey's quotes, emphasize the fact that more troops contribute to Ron Paul than all other candidates combined, and use retiree and veteran endorsement, including Ronald Reagan. Do you have the "Veterans for Paul" slim jim?

If not, it has plenty of information to use regarding the military and Ron Paul.

Also, Ron just tied for 1st place (40%) with Huck at the Ft Lewis, WA caucus.

That is what I was trying to say...

...in the thread about marching in D.C. Someone was saying that all of the active duty military should be in uniform for a Ron Paul march. I don't think it is widely understood how many extra regulations and restrictions we have to deal with.

The Retrocon
Hope for America, Ron Paul for President in 2008!

The Retrocon
Hope for America, Ron Paul for President in 2008!

Absolutely correct...

We definitely could NOT march in uniform. That's a definite sin!

You're right...most American civilians don't understand what kind of regulations and odd-ball rules we have to follow. Honestly, our best course of action is to continue to donate as member of the military. Nobody can take that stat away from Ron Paul...the old cliche (SP?) is to put your money where your mouth is...I believe we are doing a pretty good job in that aspect!

I'm willing...

To go to jail to spread the word of Ron Paul. At this point, if I haven't been charged yet, I can probably do almost anything...but that's just in my unit...they already believe me to be "crazy"...unfortunately, it's infecting most the people! I didn't even know about the DOD directive until I plastered my car with signs...then the XO sent out the directive to all Staff and Officers...so I trimmed my signs down to bumper sticker size! And like I've said, most my unit are now either RP supporters or Barak McHillabee haters...minus a few...there are a couple Obama supporters...and the gate guard always shouts "vote hillary" when i roll through...but whatever.

If you aren't willing to go to jail for the Constitution, you shouldn't be in the military and expected to die for it!

RON PAUL!

No THAT is a great point!

No THAT is a great point!

Mathew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Well, these are already

Well, these are already published quotes. I am just re-printing them. I have used Reagan and Whitey. I am grabbing two more. Thanks for the tip, I'll take my chances.

Great news on the caucus! Whoo!

Mathew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

YES!

I was asking about Ft. Lewis results yesterday evening...Thank you...Also, it is unfair that a solider cannot endorse someone. He's asked to go fight and perhaps lose his/her life, but yet they cannot say in uniform who they prefer as President. I have three family members currently in Iraq and one in Afghanistan and I know they each support RP.

correction

A member of the military CAN endorse somebody...just not in uniform...and they cannot imply that the entire organization endorses that person. As an individual, you can.

Read this...

I am a Marine (not a high ranking one at all)...and if you want quotes from a high ranking Marine, try reading War Is A Racket by Major General Smedley Butler. You can find the online version for free at different veterans for peace websites (maybe iraqi veterans against the war...I'm not sure)...or the following link on wikipedia has some decent ones:

Lou Diamond (not Lou Diamond Phillips), Chesty Puller, Audie Murphy, Sgt. Alvin York.

Sorry, just thought of one more

GySgt Carlos Hathcock...THE Sniper. Also the man that the movie Sniper was "loosely" based on. Great warrior.

on a side note

I would like to add, MGen Butler is one of the US Marines most cherished icons...a greatly significant part of our history. Others to look into (I have not) would be Chesty Puller and Dan Daley...I don't know if those two will help you at all...but all Marines know who those three men are.

Thanks for all that! I'll

Thanks for all that! I'll check it out.
