The Coolest Campaign Idea I've Heard Yet!

On October 18th, 2007 MashTheGas says:

Great idea BigMike.

We pay .50 cents per newspaper box to stuff each stack of newspapers inside with a RP slim jim. At least you know the folks buying a newspaper are looking for something to read.

Yesterday a passerby slowed down to give me an odd look while I was stuffing a stack. I smiled and handed him his own personal RP slim jim and he took, smiled and went on his way.

This my not be the most "legal" way to go about things, but it is awesome for a few reasons.

1) Its incredibly cheap and effective
2) If you use slim-jims they look as if they were actually put "in between the fold"
3) Reaches the older audience that is looking for coupons, and still reads the newspaper

I'm not condoning it, but it sure sounds like good idea!!!
