"Benton said that Paul still has about $6 million in his presidential election account. He said the lawmaker cannot transfer that money to his congressional campaign unless he terminates his presidential effort, which he does not intend to do."

"Paul's spokesman Jesse Benton said the national staff would likely be reduced from 150 to about 50, with those who worked in the Super Tuesday primaries in states such as California being let go."

"But Benton said that even as Paul wages a primary campaign he will also continue running his presidential campaign in Texas. Three staffers will be assigned to his presidential effort here. He said that the Paul campaign has purchased about $700,000 worth of radio and cable television advertising that is scheduled to start running this week in the Houston, Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth markets."

No HQ to supporters?

It would be so nice, sigh, if HQ ever sent such information to *supporters*.

Even as a highly involved Internet user, if I didn't "hang out" on DP and RPF, I would know almost *nothing* about RP's appearances, online conference calls, personal videos, town halls, ...

I get information from activist newsletters and news media, but not from RP.

Anyone want to start a (free) subscription newsletter for people who don't have time to hang out on the web, just like all of the MSM newspapers offer?

bump and amen

to that!!

Where is rest of the money going?

Where is rest of the money going?

I understand the rationale of campaigning in the delegate rich Texas and thus also campaigning to keep the congressional seat but where does the rest of the money go?

Wisconsin is on the 19th - don't know whether we could win any districts. Probably not a good place to invest

Puerto Rico on the 24th - a third place with over 15% of the vote would guarantee 4 delegates, second place 6.

Bump

if you want to win Texas

Let's combine this with Christian radio ads!

Texas meetup people. Donate $10 each, pool your resources, and purchase a number of 10 second and 30 second ads on the major Christian radio stations in the state. Simply stated, if Ron Paul doesn't reach out directly to the Christian community, he will finish DEAD LAST in his home state. Get busy contacting the local Christian radio stations to find out the cost. In Georgia, nobody was interested, I couldn't afford the ads myself, and Ron Paul finished in the paltry single digits.

Here is the Plan

To win Texas on both fronts. He should spend some more money in Texas. We need to keep Mccain down to 3rd in Texas. Huckabee has to be second.
This is the only way we can keep a brokered convention alive. Mccain has to come in 3rd place in almost all the state if he does not come in 3rd in Texas.
